I posted this video on a YouTube channel dedicated mainly to my wife’s cats. Some people now refer to this DIY vault leak fix video as “the cat guys video”. I’ll roll with that….as long at never leaves this chat.
Thanks again for that incredibly helpful video

I finally found a way to make the bed of CT waterproof! After trying several methods of seals, I found one that can snugly fit in the existing channel and cover the gap. See pics and search on Amazon for the seal product. Totally works even through the carwash.

Did you have to remove that piece above the bed with the torx screws to put this on? Does it bind the tonneau at all?

This is probably not the right thread, but my truck was out in the rain today and i noticed when i opened the bed, that it was wet somewhat back by the back window and along that wall. not overly wet definitely not completely dry. Is this normal or a defect that the service center would need to address? or "within spec " ?

Watch the video I posted here and apply a seal, you’ll be golden.

I inserted insulation foam. It looks nice and covered all the holes (see attached pictures.) Feels better. It was cheap and took 20 min.

Is that the back by the tailgate? Hard to tell but looks like it. Mine is perfectly sealed there but leaks at the roof slat. Told them about it in the many 30+ days at SC-it was within spec but is missing the slat. So she’s moist when it rains and flat out wet after a car wash.
This is at the roof

So I finally got that "missing" slat tsb done. What was suppose to be a quick service ended up being a 11 days wait. I don't know how they schedule things but it doesn't feel like tesla worthy thing. They didn't touch the truck for 10 days and suddenly started moving when I mentioned lemon law.

Anyway, as expected, they marked it as resolved. And as expected - it didn't fix the problem.

Here is what it looked like before repairs

And here is after:

They also added another seal between the glass and the cover, but didn't do a clean job

anyway, it is still leaking

and after "repairs"

Maybe marginally less water, but not good enough. I'll try adding another seal myself ...

If you search, there are a zillion threads and fixes. You need some gasket to prevent drainage into the space behind the glass. I used a small T shaped gasket and clear sealant on the front end. So far good.

SC installed a gasket there. It's not where it's leaking.

I’m in the same place and I hate it. Envious of others who have a water tight bed

Just fix it with weather seal, exactly like it shown to the video in this thread!

I achieved watertightness by just adding a bit of foam backer rod to the gap between the aerocover and the glass. ill post a photo here later.

unfortunately I have to undo it to raise the snapclips up. I lowered them too much and now the tonneau applique rubs a bit too much on the tonneau.

does anyone know: do you have to tighten the applique screws allllllll the way back down?
