Ventilated Seats Issue Fix / Workaround - They're better than you might think

The air pulls in toward the seat, I think the improved airflow is the sensation of air rather than more, though I am sure it feels nice

I typically run fairly hot but I am moderately satisfied with the seats, I typically have to reduce airflow in other vehicles overtime, CT does not require adjustment. Must be a lot of sweaty CT drivers out there

The only thing I can think of is, are there airbags in the seats? I was thinking more about the mass of the beads in an airbag deployed scenario, should work well also. Worth a try.

Don't want anything wrapped around the side of the seat, headrest straps look fine

Some people obviously use the wooden-bead covers, but I'm certain it would drive me mad.

I know what you meant, but when I read this all I pictured was someone getting into an accident and airbags deploy under them and ejects them through the massive windshield.

I added a ventilated and heated seat cover to my 17MS in 2020 from Amazon. Still works to this day. They generally do the trick if pay a little extra for a highly reviewed cover. I am very surprised mine has lasted this long . . In Texas aka I keep it running 90% of the year.

My understanding is that seat cooling works not by exhausting air out the holes. If that were true my recent Model S wouldn't not have had excellent seat cooling. Instead, they presumably have airflow beneath the perforated surface that flows past the surface, and carries away and facilitate evaporative cooling of your lumber.

The Model S would be comfortable long term in air-conditiong season at the lowest setting, and at the highest setting would cool one down fast and need to be reduced in a few minutes.

Cybertruck is virtually non-existent in the seatback, except at the very top where not needed. At full blast one still gets and stays hot. Seat bottom gets barely cool at full blast.

This is a design defect that needs correcting.

The 3D cushion I posted gives me 2x-3x the cooling/airflow mid-back which is what I was after.

Agreed cooling works by exhausting out of the holes, the cooler the air under the seat the cooler the ventilated fans pick up. The 3D cushion I posted gives me 2x-3x the cooling/airflow mid-back which is what I was after.

But that's not how cybertruck ventilation works on the seats - the air is pulled into the seat by a fan beneath it. Try it yourself: turn ventilation to max (3), put your hand under the seat from the back row and you will feel which direction the air is moving

or, light a match right above the cushion and watch the smoke gets sucked into the seat

There is information to support a vacuuming versus exhaust for the Tesla ventilated seat system in the Cybertruck. Haven't found a definitive source yet. Either way, my felt experience with the 3d cushions spacer is night and day better.
