I got my delivery date for the RWD! can't wait to pick up.

it has now become a very limited edition. :)
Keep in mind what others have experienced with delivery dates.
Think there is a chance you may get option to upgrade to AWD, with potential of order canceled.

That would be more-rarer than FlounderSeries..

I sincerely wish you luck.. I’ll be rooting that you get it.

Actually not surprising to me. Considering the weight of the Cybertruck and Tesla's performance standards, constraining a Cybertruck to a single motor with all the work it needs to do, is like neutering it to less than chill mode. Elon said, "At Tesla, we don't make slow cars..." so why make a slow Cybertruck? Exactly.

We'll probably never know exactly how limited. But it could realistically be less than 1,000.

Cybertruck sales in the US were estimated at 4,306 for 2Q 2025. I"m sure that CT sales are up for 3Q 2025, when most RWD deliveries occurred. But I'll bet that total 3Q 2025 CT sales are still less than 10,000 (we'll get Cox's estimate in about a month).

And I wouldn't be surprised if the RWD was <10% of total 3Q 2025 sales. If that's true, and if total 3Q 2025 sales were <10,000, then RWD sales would be <1,000.

I asked Grok "How many Long Range (rear wheel drive) Cybertrucks have been sold?" and got a similar estimate:
Tesla does not publicly break down sales figures by Cybertruck variant, and no official or third-party data (from sources like registration trackers or analyst reports) specifies the exact number sold for this model. However, based on overall Cybertruck sales trends and the variant's brief availability, the total is estimated to be very low—likely under 1,000 units globally ...

This tells me that margins are so tight, Tesla would rather remove a model than sell it at a a larger loss. Not good news for those of you expecting a big price drop post Sept 30.

Grok's response also included estimates and comments for sales of other Cybertruck trims through September 2025:

RWD: <1,000; Discontinued after 5 months; minimal impact on totals
AWD: ~60,000–70,000; Primary volume driver; ~80% of sales
CB: ~10,000–15,000; Premium trim; limited production

Maybe in 25 years the RWD will turn out to be the most valuable CT to collectors due to its rarity.

That's not how it works.

Stripped down truck models never command a higher premium, even though they can be as rare as hens teeth due to the manufacturer purposely only making a few of them to be able to advertise a low starting price.

Maybe I’m alone but I say good riddance. I think Tesla should accept that these are low volume, add the Luxe package and price them with the S and X.
I sure hope they don’t add the “mandatory” luxe package to the AWD, that would decrease sales even more for the time being if Franz and Lars are right about the FSD take-rate being in the teens. They should honestly take it off all models and offer it as an option, even for 3/Y. I’d spring for it, but not everyone will.

Just my two cents. I’m not in sales, so what do I know?

Wouldn't that be kind of like a Prairie Tan 1965 Mustang hardtop with the 170 CI V-6?

Maybe just lack of interest? To those that got the RWD already- you may have the rarest CyberTrucks around. 👍
When did they ever deliver any? Who are these people?

there are a couple in YouTube comparisons…
Yeah, thanks! I just decided to do a search after I posted I really didn’t know that any had been delivered. I don’t ever remember anybody talking about getting one here and none of these videos came up in my feed before today.

If anybody else is interested here’s one of the videos I found.

I think those cloth seats might be interesting to have. Also, I thought it wasn’t supposed to have the “signature light bar.” Seems to have that and four wheel steering. You lose the tail light bar, but keep the front one? Weird.
