It's part of the rear view mirror. Normally not visible inside the beauty cover.Who knows where this part is?
The cover that snaps into it might be missing also unless they replaced the mirror.

When I was picking up truck, I found that the bumper was damaged. When I went to change the bumper and install Roof Applique, they damaged the temperature sensor in the car. After they repaired the temperature sensor, I found this damaged part again! It's such a headache.

Mongo, you are like a walking parts catalog.. You remind me of those old school guys who used to work at the local auto parts store, not the new 19 year old clowns who don't know what an air filter is. Thanks! I got lucky his time. Others on here have IDed parts that I had no clue on, or looked for and missed. In this case, I had looked at that piece less than 24 hours before after replacing my glare shield.
