Who else would like to see a separate control for the frunk light bar (DRL) in a future update?

Currently you have to set headlights to off for each and every drive which is somewhat of a pain.

Yes, control of the DLR is necessary IMHO. When driving in (fairly dense) fog, rain, snow, the DLR makes the weather a big white blob right in front of the truck making it hard to see whats ahead. I carry electrical tape to tape it off when I need to - a software switch would be so easy.

100%

I wrote about the sketchiest drive I've ever had in any vehicle, here, almost a year ago. (Edit: not here but in a Cybertruck Facebook group. Post was stolen by TorqueNews to make a hit piece...) I was pretty much seething by the time I got home because the danger was unnecessary. Such an embarrassing fail for a company that claims to be committed to safety.

When weather conditions conspire, the DRL becomes a huge hazard. It's one of those "if you know, you know" things. I carry a roll of duct tape now.

A year later and still no solution from Tesla! A software switch, as you say, would be very easy to add. DRLs are mandated here, so I think the simplest solution is to add an option in the settings to automatically turn off the DRL when the headlights are active. A DRL is not needed if the headlights are on.

Tesla is apparently deaf to this issue however... 🤦‍♂️

i want the drl to turn on automatically with the lights, would be nice to be able to control that, and the brightness. But I also want have the lightbar to also turn on with the lights. I usually drive with them at 1% brightness. I’m also the type of person that thinks a truck looks more bad ass the more lights that it has(If done tastefully)

Why not go to outlets and press the light bar button ( on/off flash). Not perfect but better than the multi-button lightbar ones. Edit: I see you are referencing the front bottoms ones.

Well, its the cybertruck “signature” light bar.

i agree- it would be easy enough to add a software control for the brightness, as i dont even think it runs at full brightness in DRL mode. It gets WAY brighter during light shows, and you can see in my profile photo, they already even have what i call “eye mode” built into the cybertent light control. It would be a big upgrade without changing any hardware, simply integrate the same “brightness slider” used for the offroad lightbar for the Signature light bar into the lights section.
