Sounds good, I can make that happen. I am waiting on those wire taps to arrive tomorrow. Did you see my question about when does the circuit turn on? Is it upon approach or when door is opened or something else?
Turns on as soon as you walk up to the vehicle.

Great, now I just need to figure out which wires go to the front light bar from the harness it uses and the same for LED light strip and cut those wires and attach them to the positive and negative terminals on the fuse box I bought once I tap the fuse box in where you did after the wire taps arrive. That would allow me to go back to factory stock and re-enable the speaker meanwhile providing power to the rear view mirror, front light bar and LED strip and having a spot to tie in power for the 10.88 screen whenever I hear back from them on why after a OTA update it quit working. Did you get rid of your 110v plug and convertor in the middle console now that you've tapped into this location?

It’s just pulling power.

I’m not sure why the power stays on after exit for a short time. Perhaps its keeping power to the back display for a short time in the event someone is still present.

I posted previously that there are a few unused pins on this harness. If someone wanted they could carefully pull one of those pins out, move the pin to the 8 position, then cut and splice to the(Yellow and Red) wires to get the pin 8 pass through needed for the tweeter audio signal. I really don’t like they tapped this audio line though - otherwise I would have done it.

Here is a picture of where I cut the harness.

Okay, so I just run the power from the new tap location, red and black (tapped to red and brown), to the red and black on the wire to the mirror that you cut off harness? What about that yellow wire?

Yellow and Red go to positive together. Black to negative.

Ken, to verify does the mirror power on and off when you enter and exit the truck?

The mirror powers on as I get close to the truck, I think it is tied to whatever bluetooth circuit detects my phone and powers whatever circuits it thinks needs to be powered up from sleep mode. This is actually nicer than before because the mirror has its own boot up time, it is a small difference for sure but now when I get in the truck the mirror is ready to go as opposed to completing its boot up sequence when it was previously plugged into the fitting in the passenger footwell. When I exit the truck it goes out shortly after I exit. I know yukonjack said that his has stayed on for up to 10 minutes after exiting but so far I haven't had that happen, it is working as I would want it to work, powering up accessories as I approach the truck and powering down after I leave. So far I am pleased with the results and plan to add more accessories when I get back from my trip.

Thank you but I couldn't have done it without YukonJsck's foray into this area and continued assistance, I just had time to document as an article and video.

Awesome video TeslaKen.

Working flawlessly for me so far.

Now it is on Hansshow to get there act together. The User Interface on this V2 needs some work with a firmware update. We don’t need “month”, ”day”, and “year” displayed with the date. Would like an options for the time and date to be optional as I don’t need it. The size is good but the UI is a downgrade compared to V1.

I agree plus I've noticed that the time slowly gets behind, the last time I reset the time/date was maybe 6-8 weeks ago and the time display is currently 3 or 4 minutes behind now. Seems odd to be that far off in the modern era of electronics, which also tells us the time isn't being synch'd with any source just enter the time/date and let the internal clock run and the internal clock isn't very accurate. Like you said I would want to be able to select whether or not the time / date displays at all. I might keep the clock at best, but certainly not the date in the weird format it is in. :)

With respect to Hansshow I asked which wires were positive and negative for the LED dash light strip and the answer I got back was "red and black" and guess what there are no red and black wires in the harness for that item so I will have to do some testing and figure it out when I get back.

You could always probe them to confirm. Just use two or the posi-taps and screw the needle section on the wires then connect your voltmeter. The wires wont get damaged and you will likely cut them anyway.
