Indeed
18 inch rim diameter vs 20 inch rim means 1 inch less sidewall, tire diameter for a 285/65R20 is 34.6 so roughly 8.3 vs 7.3 inch (12% change). Plus the tires are both all season so similar rolling resistance.
Cyber vs core are both 20 inch rims and 35 inch tire, but the tread is all season vs all terrain.

Model Y wheels range from 18 to 21 inch rims with 5.1 to 3.8 inches of sidewall (34% change). Sidewall and tread width change, but circumference is within 1.5%, with different tire formulations.

Model S all seasons are 4.5 sidewall on 19s and 3.7 on 21s, 19% change and the 21s are half the sidewall of the Cybertruck 20s.
Good post. Much more detailed than mine. Haha.

My gf and I had a serious talk about the new trim. She drives a M3P and I drive a Beast. She said she wouldn't want to drive any CT that isn't a Beast, too slow. I certainly am not giving up the Beast. So this is not for us, but it seems more like a good vehicle for a teen you don't want racing around town.

rotflol. It's not exactly, slow.. its fast enough for most people, especially with FSD, who even drives any longer? I know I don't.

I was just looking at that, strange that they put the 285/70/18s on the RWD, 285/75/18 would be a closer match although range is likely better with the smaller tire diameter.

IMO the 18s are awesome though…..would either go with stock tires or bump up to 285/75/18 (either tire comes in many options that are much cheaper than the 20“ size)….never know they may have 285/75/18 stock which would be awesome and look significantly bigger than the 20s (not actually much bigger but the higher tire to wheel ratio tends to look bigger like on jeeps and raptors, Etc….)

This is a very good deal. If you are on the fence about this, put down the deposit.

After the 10 days:
If the trim is no longer available, you got an awesome truck at a great price and a unicorn.
If the price goes up, you're good again.
If the price goes down (doubtful), cancel your order and place another one on the better deal. Worth losing $250 IMO.
Exactly, this is about as low risk ($250) risk as you can get, hell even most of the time Tesla will give you that $250 back if you cry enough or transfer it to another purchase.

The RWD CT has 18" wheels, same as base option on the new DM AWD.

My Cybertruck is faster 0-60 compared to my 2026 Model Y. Let that sink in for a minute.

No doubt about it. There must be a lot of demand for EVs in Qatar -- they have a Supercharger!
Ya I guess when you can drive from the Supercharger to any point in the country and back twice in one charge.. you only need one Supercharger.

The CT is so much better than the Gladiator, it's like they say in Pulp Fiction... "Same Ballpark? Not even the same sport!"

I say that as someone who likes Jeeps.
Ya I sold my 392 Hemi Wrangler to get my CT. Although I love Jeeps, I'm getting older and the CT was like stepping into another century.

Seven more days peeps, “what’s you going to do?”
I am going to order. Stats being what they are I think it is worth it. A little big for my needs as a second CT. The battery share aspect for the size is very compelling. I will wait till the last day. As always an evolving Elon story.

looking at the "rear wheel drive only" thread here, it sure looks like they had inventory of the seats, coil spring suspensions, and 18" tires/wheels, and since that model is cancelled, this looks like the way they plan to clear inventory.. If it's a sucess, they will keep it as an option going forward, if not, they cleared out the canceled rear wheel drive parts.

I could see one level of CT going forward.

You’re joking, right? My AWD is by far the fastest accelerating car I have ever owned, faster than our MYLR and M3LR, and probably close to the cafe racers I used to ride. Give one to a teen and they are toast.

If you got behind the wheel of a Lightning, your mind would be blown.

A M3P, you may cry.

A Beast or a Plaid, you may die.

P.S. - I helped teach my niece to drive in a Lightning, it wasn't too much speed and it has more zip than AWD CT.

I’ve always been curious how the beast in chill mode compares to a AWD in its slowest mode. Then standard vs standard mode.
