It must of been weeks but I wasn’t paying attention until recently. It was working well with my PowerShare and wall connector. No issues, no errors but can not charge above 24A. I can not increase amps. My model S is charging fine at 40A. Arghh I guess it is the dreaded PCS issue. I requested service, hopefully will be resolved soon.

Just got approved for PCS replacement, April 17th. It took them less than 30 minutes to approve at 9:40 PM central time. It must be AI or we have a Tesla employee working long hours.

They replaced mine yesterday while I was having my tires rotated. I just noticed that the top home charge speed was 24 A and I got one message on the screen. They were super nice about it. It’s just one of those things that happens by the way, if you have anything in the bed of the truck, take it out. Since I was not expecting this replacement to happen yesterday, my truck had a refrigerator, a box of tire, accessories, and several other things in it they took it out and put it back in without saying anything, but I would recommend if you know you’re having that Service clean your bed out.

LOL, if I'm having ANY service done on my truck, I'm not rolling with a fridge in the back. LOL

Not that I want earn a badge anytime soon (FS2024) but a sticker to apply to rear truck would be preferable.

If you haven't had your PCS replaced, go ahead and schedule on your convenience so it's not urgent when your time does come up.

I have reading on this site, Tesla wouldn’t replace PCS preemptively without failure and or codes?

Are there any data on total PCS failure after noticing the drop to 24A on charging?

I think there have been a few that got it swapped before A/C charging became an issue, but I'm not positive. I think all previous revisions of the PCS are going to fail eventually though. worth checking out at least.

I bet if you comb through your service menu you will find related error or warnings though.
