PCS failure, can’t charge at 500kW supercharging site

Making a specific thread for this issue:

I have the PCS failure. I can supercharge (for free because of PCS), but not at the local 500kW location.

Does anyone know if there is a PCS reason I can’t charge at this location or if there is something else going on? Has anyone else not been able to supercharge at a 500kW location?

Chatted with support and they asked if I had the updated software, I said yes. They responeded, “Good news, with the next update, you’ll get Free supercharging”

I still don’t have complementary free supercharging, sad . Havnt see your issue either as no 500kw chargers near me. Most is 350 and those work fine.

You sure its not just the abysmal charging curve?
At all 6 of those 500kw chargers you will see 500kw for approximately 2.8s before the curve crashes.

To receive free supercharge, you need to schedule service. They will push your appointment out a few months due to parts. Then I received a email for free supercharge, mine is free until 7/26. To check, load the app, scroll to bottom, click “specs and warranty”, should display at the bottom.

yes, it doesn’t charge at all. Clicking “start charging” does nothing. The car shows the cable connected.

I guess I am confused. Does the PCS have to fail before you get free supercharging? DO we know what VINS are likely to be affected? I travel a lot and I would hate to get caught with a charging issue on a trip.

im trying to sort out a specific issue on this thread. If you are hit by PCS, they will give you free supercharging.

My issue isn’t the cost, it’s that there seems to be an issue related to PCS that prevents me from using some superchargers.

once you make a service appointment for PCS Failure, the service center sends you a message that you have been granted free supercharging , did mine last week

They give you free supercharging while you await the service call to replace your PCS, which appears to be months. It only applies to people who have gotten the failure and have scheduled an appointment. I have no idea what is going on with the 500 KW superchargers.

I was also unable to charge at a supercharger. I do not know how many of the failed PCSs were unable to supercharge but it is more than just me.
