My Cybertruck is a 2026 AWD premium model with only 3 months, i have put 4,000 miles on, and I’ve started noticing small amber-colored oil spots on my garage floor every morning. They line up with the rear wheel area on both sides.

The truck drives perfectly, with no warning lights or unusual noises. I have a Tesla Service appointment on July 10, but I’m wondering if it’s safe to keep driving until then or if this could be something serious that needs immediate attention.

Has anyone experienced this? Any idea what fluid this might be?

That’s…odd. First I recall hearing about a CT motor leaking. Hyland M3P, yes. CT, no.

Guessing there is a lot more oil leaking onto the rear belly pan and steaming to the sides. I work on my own cars, so I’d go under, yank the belly pan, and inspect. But if you don’t, I’d suggest minimize driving and put in a service ticket. Worse case scenario, motor runs out of oil and bricks itself. I’d imagine you’ll hear a lot of ugly sounds before that happens though.

My front motor had low oil and the pump struggled to circulate the fluid in freezing winter, which caused it to overheat. They replaced the pump and refilled the oil. Perhaps one of your rear motors is also leaking.

Since it a bilateral leak, it MIGHT BE a brake fluid issue-see if it’s coming from the rear calipers somewhere!! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Drive straight to the service center immediately and tell them that it is a safety issue and they will take the truck immediately for something like that and give to a loaner. Don’t wait till the service appointment. GO NOW!

I actually had my oil change in both motors and it started leaking afterwards. I think they tighten the oil filter too tight and cracked the whole motor. They replaced my front motor under warranty.
Bring it to tesla no reason to wait and ask people here

Likely just a leaky seal - that amount wouldnt stop me from driving short distances.
A bit off topic, but that comment reminded me of a story I heard a while back.
A penguin brought his truck to the garage and told the mechanic he has an oil leak. The mechanic says he'll need about a half hour to look the truck over, so the penguin goes and sits on the bench in front of the shop. It's a very hot day, and the penguin notices an ice cream stand across the street. So, he waddles over and gets in line for a cone.
Eventually he gets to the front of the line and orders a vanilla cone. He waddles back to the garage, and sees that his truck is off the lift, so he goes into the shop with his melty ice cream cone and asks what's wrong with the truck.
The mechanic sees the penguin and says, "it looks like you blew a seal."
The penguin replies, "No. It's just ice cream."

I'll see myself out.
