I just LINE-X'd my Cyberbeast Cybertruck (bed spray liner on bed + rear hatch)

This photo should be enough to stop anyone from drilling holes through the bed of their Cybertruck!

Wouldn't want to be drilling holes... But it looks like one could fit a few smugglers cache's in there. Problem would be accessing them. In the case of a smuggler it would be fine. But for someone just wanting some extra pockets of storage, one would need to figure out ways to access the space.

On the other hand, if you wanted to add some extra electronics or hardware of some sort, seems that there is room as long as it doesn't take up too much space.

The bed liner treatment would look awesome on the plastic wheel flares, bumpers and rocker panel.

I agree and I was going to coat all the plastic, hence the test. The concern was, that the plastic used for the flares, bumpers, rockers and rear hatch etc, is super slick. They “prepped” the test piece on the rear hatch and sprayed it. I’m going to see how it holds up.

I didn’t check with TESLA, but dont see how I can void the warranty by removing plastic..it was a fairly easy process, just a few clips and bolts. I was actively involved during the entire process, and the pricing was not established yet on the Cybertruck. I was the first CT for LINE-X. I did have to pay for it, but don’t want give out false information. I was told the cost will be around $1500.

I think a coating like that might look good on those exterior parts for a time (certainly would keep them from scratching), but once it got dirty or through a winter season, could lose its appeal. I like how smooth those pieces are and how well they respond to a little 303 protectant.

Why not put bed liner on all the black plastic trim on the truck and also on the lower section of the door panels, starting at the bottom bend in the panel (area sketched in red)? That section of the door along with the rocker panel completes the visual line from the front bumper to the rear bumper, especially if that section of the doors and the bumpers are all the same color and texture.

It does look great! What would you say the level of protection is in comparison to the stock liner? I never did it to my Tacoma and it's all scratched up from dragging heavy objects on it.

Decided to have all the plastic in the bed sprayed at LINE-X. They did a great job and it looks great! The Phoenix location did an amazing job. I would highly recommend them.

I was their first Cybertruck, so it took all day. It will probably cost about $1500 for future trucks if you want it done like the way I did it…very time consuming to remove, tape, spray and re-install all the plastic…but it looks amazing.

I decided to spray the rear hatch trim also…depending how the bed liner material bonds to the slick plastic, I may go back and spray the rest of the trim on top of the bed…thoughts?

This job looks OEM 100%. Outstanding work to say the least. While I wont be using the bed all that much, I still like the look. I did this to my 2016 Dodge Ram Long Horn and it lasted a lifetime.

It’s not installed for design purposes regularly but I’m sure it wouldn’t look too bad.

I don't see the point or how that is going to hold up any better. It's not like it was going to rust in the first place.

my first roadtrip, cooler was flying around the bed when the cruise control panicked on 2 lane road, causing bits of plastic marred all over the bed. my fault my lined 3500hd would do the same but I had learned to tie things down. now I spend a day trying to clean up the bed. and have a bunch of shock cord in the bed.

The floor of the bed is already coated with a linex type material.
They dumped concrete blacks into it and it was fine

Yeah, this was engineered to be very tough so no bed liner was needed, I'm going to pass on this expense, and will coat it when it's all scratched up if it ever gets that way.
