I'm sure Elon will release an upgraded performance kit with brakes and sport tires so it will take the Beast faster than 2.6 seconds to take the throne from Rivian because he can. The Beast has enough power; it's currently limited by the A/T tire rating and the brakes.
These Goodyear tires are a very weak link for the CT. lousy at being all-terrain (sand? snow? SNOPE) Not great for dry pavement traction. And, don't get me started on the Aero cap debacle. Makes me wonder if Ford paid off Goodyear to F-Up Elon's plans.

No reason to get a super fast truck if you have a plaid.

I'm gonna watch used plaid X prices and get a dual motor truck
I’d be down to replace my wife’s 2020 P100D “dual motor” X w a Plaid X, but it’ll be a while. It would have to be a smoking deal and all the right specs w FSD, which we already have. I do enjoy all of them in my garage. X, S & CT. I can not find a compelling choice outside of them. Pretty sure none exist IMO.

Yea. When I got my X I paid 45k. It's a raven long range 7 seat with fsd and cream interior. Had to do some mods but it's sick now lol. If I could find a performance X for a similar price with extended warranty though I'd get it

Isn’t the X considered a car?
Crossover SUV. But I was saying if you have something super fast you can get something more chill as the second vehicle.

Did they? I didn't watch their videos. The articles look like they're just misquoting
It looks like they did test it and it came at 2.5 sec.

“Tesla has made many claims for its wedge-shaped Cybertruck Beast, including a 0-60-mph time of 2.6 seconds and a top speed of 130 mph—outrageous stats for a pickup truck that tipped our scales at 6,884 pounds. But with three motors making more than 800 horsepower and Tesla’s excellent launch control system, the Cybertruck blasted to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds in our testing before crossing the quarter mile in 11.0 seconds at 113.7 mph.”

I had a 2019 raven and that dang acceleration shudder was just so annoying, even after replacing all the front end suspension. It just eventually came back. Hopefully you got that fixed or haven’t had the issue.

That's not what is in beast though
The Plaid powertrain exists. 1,020hp and 1,050 lb-ft of torque available since 2021.
Correct. Source: 2023 Plaid owner, currently waiting for cyber beast vin. Among other things, the cyber beast does not have the carbon fiber sleeves that are present in the Plaid.

Hard disagree.

I like to go fast no matter which car I’m driving. My Cyber Beast will replace my FJ cruiser when it arrives, and when that happens it will re-order my garage. My C8 Corvette (2.9s to 60) will become the slowest car in my collection - behind the CT at 2.6 and Plaid at 1.9.

I love being able to go off road with my FJ but not being able to get up and go makes me miss being in the Vet or the S anytime I’m on the way to wherever I’m on the way to in it.

Soon, I won’t have to have that compromise. I’ll trade that for range anxiety! I am not looking forward to 300 miles taking me back to my M3P days.

I'd rather wait for steer-by-wire Model X Plaid V3 0 to 60 in 2.49

I still can't believe that awesome awd truck is in my driveway. I wish you all hasty deliveries I really mean that.

I haven't had to deal with it yet. Maybe because it isn't the performance? Lol I guess I don't accelerate like that in this one. Just had one of my front control arms replaced though and I have a pretty wide stance. Also default low since I replaced my camber arms

If I recall correctly, back when Sandy Munro tore down the Model S Plaid in 2021, he theorized that they might do steer by wire due to the design of the yoke. I bet in a year or less, every model will be steer by wire. It’s just so much easier to drive. Plus w FSD, you don’t have a wheel in front of you spinning all over the place. It just makes sense to have them all w it.

My 2019 Raven was a LR, not performance. Glad to hear you haven’t had the issue, but sounds like some issues have presented themselves up front. By time I sold mine in late 2020 I don’t think engineering had come up w a good fix for it. I’ve read many posts that indicate they have. The LR X still has plenty of pick up. I still keep an eye on early X’s for sale, the whole line up is so fun IMO. I’d like to grab an early titanium or silver model w the adjustable rear spoiler. They should bring that back w V3 Plaid! ?
