I think the best vehicle for those worried about range without towing is...

....a diesel Jetta.

Seriously.

Is anyone surprised a pickup truck isn't as aerodynamic or efficient with energy as a Model S, one of the most aerodynamic vehicles on the road? You really shouldn't be surprised.

As for towing, get a Silverado EV and sit on top of two tons of batteries as you wait for your suspension to fail from moving all that mass each and every day. I looked at Hummer EV's but 9,000 lbs is no joke to manage dynamically and only a three-year warranty, software that doesn't seem to have been updated in three years and no OTA updates? No thanks.

Cybertruck is not the answer for everyone, it's not trying to be. Maybe some folks should spend time on the Domino's forums complaining about the lack of crispness in the crust and how they cancelled their order and picked up DiGiorno from their grocery store.

C'mon, trolls be trollin'.

You know forum fellas, while I agree the OP is fairly aloof and deserves some criticism I do feel there is an edge of fact here that the CT is obviously less efficient than other Tesla models and will burden long distance travel in some capacity. I wish you all had higher bars for features and service provided by Tesla. As a fan of the CT I hope this improves overtime

The prettiest thing is life is recognizing the good part of something and been conscious of what could be an issue for certain people , as I enjoyed so much the CT .. I never expected to charge 3 times on a 280 miles trip .. again that’s no problem for me, however it was the true, no one told me .. I experienced that my self, I don’t know about other EV trucks because never owned or rented one, I said this based on what I test, no history, no someone told me .. just what I test.

That really doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Why would you order the Cybertruck for your business when you had no idea when you would actually get them? Why cancel it now? You weren't chosen to configure and order one, so what is the rush?

Tesla's truck is amazing, and they have the best FSD by a longshot over the competition. Nobody expected to get 500 miles out of one charge, and you can't go to zero anyways for a multitude of reasons. You can ruin your battery if you frequently go below 20% before charging.

Most folks aren't buying these to be a work truck. They are buying them because they are incredibly unique looking and have the most advanced battery and computer technology of any car available in the consumer market.

Love how the guy posts he is cancelling and then never responds again.
It’s either a bogus or stupid post. First of all why would you need to cancel? It’s for the Foundation series. Just don’t do anything and your reservation is still good for the non-Foundation series or is still there if you change your mind. And what happens if later the non-Foundation series comes out with a bigger battery pack? Because you cancelled you will lose out.
I have my truck and plan to keep it for a long time. I have two more reservations down the line. I would never dream of cancelling them. If demand is still hot in a couple years and they do increase the battery range I would probably sell my truck and get a new one.

Your business requires racing from Florida to California?
Don't be silly... The Florida to California race was used as an example to highlight the fact that the Cybertruck does not perform any better on the road than the competitors trucks. Infact, when you take into consideration that Cyber had the advantage of a superior charging network, and the fact that Tesla was the last one to market... The Tesla should have easily won the race. My business does require real world range. I live in So Cal and no mater if we travel north through LA on the 5, North East up the 15 towards Las Vegas, or East on the 10 through Palm Springs, we gain altitude, which strains any EV's battery. Do you consider 80 miles of range while towing to be an acceptable number for the leading EV manufacturer in the world?

I challenge you to cancel the other two orders now and purchase a Chevy and Rivian, now! Best of luck.
Why cancel the other orders now, what if Tesla gets the message and builds the next generations of trucks with more battery capacity and range?

Did you put down the $1,000 additional deposit, get a VIN and walk away from your actual delivery, or did you just decide to not use the reservation and get your $100 back?
This is the situation I am in for similar reasons. I received a VIN and declined for two weeks and received a second VIN. Fear I need to cancel but want a full refund.

Archer if your work involves long distance towing, I fully agree, this is not the truck. Probably in diesel territory. There is no one size fits all vehicle, that's why there are 10,000 different vehicle types on the road. Unlike a lot of the other people attacking you here as a troll post, I interpreted this more as that you actually did want the cybertruck, but you are disappointed it won't work for you.
Completely valid. That's the way it goes sometimes. Order cancelled and you make your next move.
