He was at church today. I’m friends with his girlfriend and she knows I have a CT so brought him over to introduce him.
Just consider -

Once on a time in LA you had to say, "Yeah, movie stars are just people and they go to stores and have to buy groceries too, so don't be surprised if you see some!"

Now? It's CYBERTRUCK ENGINEERS!!!

I'm taking the family to gulf shores early July in mcFridge, so that would be a welcomed update for sure!

P.S. any recommended restaurants I should know about?

Call me skeptical but how exactly do you happen to “run into a Tesla engineer working on CT”? How would one even know this “engineer” were authentic?

I’m not holding my breath…
It does happen....l bumped into one of, if not the lead Ford Raptor Designer in the carpark at Cape Woolamai Surf Beach.
Edit: Had the good fortune to meet Peter Arcadipane ( Mad Max & Mercedes Benz Designer ) at his workshop Studio near home in Chadstone in the '90s and Matt Thomas around 2005 ( JOSS Supercar.... Never went to production.) Also stumbled into an Engine development group in Caulfield, and when l asked about the V8 engine they were working on, l said 'so this is the JOSS engine?'
Everyone went silent .......

Ran into a Tesla engineer today who’s specific to the CT team. He mentioned that FSD should be coming by the end of this month! And that some staff trucks are already testing with it.

I know Elon also mentioned “sometime in June” but we know how he is with timelines. Hope it’s true! I’m ready to be chauffeured.
That would be amazing, I actually have a trip planned from California to Gainesville Florida at the end of the month. This would make the trip more realistic and doable. Fingers crossed.

I thought i would like FSD when i ordered it but now i don't want FSD taking away my joy of driving!
Just wait until you're on a road trip, FSD navigates to exit the highway, negotiates a few intersections, then stops in front of a Supercharger. You shift into reverse and your Tesla backs into the charging spot. No fuss, no drama. [Parachute, CO, Supercharger in my Model Y running FSD 12.3.] That experience will bring a lot of joy!

I love how we all now find the idea of taking a road trip that we have to manually drive the entire way just out right silly :)

I am with you though, we have a trip from UT -> TN in August and I would love for autopilot to be out by then!

You wont have to shift into reverse, just select the charging stall on the display and it will park for you. No joke. Once I figured out how to make a new MX FSD cameras calibrate then it enabled the stalkless auto shift (forward or reverse) and self parking, it’s been very impressive at both.

When I lived in DC, I was buying a Metrorail card when another gentleman was having trouble, so I helped get his card. We got on the same train, and off at the same stop… the Smithsonian Air and Space museum.

Later, he found me admiring the Viking Martian probe duplicate (they always build two) and told me he was an engineer on the project, and they had all signed it. So I was just casually chatting with a guy with his name on another planet!

Take that, Elon lol

Because they are normal people that might be in public and someone could just happen to run in to someone and start talking about things. I don’t understand how everyone is so mistrusting of anyone :/
As the Fonz would say, Correct-A-Mundo!

Last week, while charging the truck, I saw another truck. Now I haven’t seen many around , although the guy who did my wrap has done over 60 now.

So I decided to walk up to the other truck owner and said hey, stupid question but do you see these on the road?

His response was, well yes, but I work for Tesla. I am an engineer for the truck.

He then followed up with, what do you think of the truck?

My response was, it’s amazing the handling and suspension is amazing.

Followed by, that’s great to hear my job wis to work in the suspension and ride.

I finished with, well kiddos, you’ve done a great job.

He said thanks and I went about my day.

Long story, short, you do run into other humans along the journey of life.
