Yes for sure, I don't anticipate the VIN soon though as my timeline was August/September

$ 4k to repair $2700 material $1300 labor main cost is plastic parts bumper etc quarter panel and substructure $900 this is with Tesla collision…Keep us posted on what the process is with insurance and price us to fix!
Sounds interesting and correct. I did not know or thing of things being bonded and the quarter panel assembly not being just a formed sheet of metal.First, it would probably take longer than that just to remove the panel, second, and more importantly, it's not just a single layer of steel, it's bonded to another sub panel, I think you can see some of the adhesive left on the SS from where it peeled away from the underlying panel. Bottom line is you can't run that through an English wheel.
That's an expensive repair for a panel. I was in an impression that the sheet of metal will be much easy to replace as there's no painting job involved. If that steel panel was wrapped around like in L shape, maybe the damage would be minimal.$ 4k to repair $2700 material $1300 labor main cost is plastic parts bumper etc quarter panel and substructure $900 this is with Tesla collision…
The bumper alone is $1200 this is less than a painted vehicle I would guess 50 % less and the damage would likely have included lights and housingThat's an expensive repair for a panel. When I broke a bone, my Doctor assured me that if he could remove that bone from my body and hand it to me, I would have a hard time breaking it. Diamonds are the strongest substance on Earth, but they can still be cut with a directed force at the proper angle.I am surprised that a piece of WOOD did that to HFS...I a thinking it is not HFS as Elon thinks.
Call at Paintless dent removal guy / shop...they can work magic... I found them to be obsessively dedicated to figuring it out and doing great work!.When I park in my driveway, I tried to park as close to the fence as possible so that my wife can get her car in and not give me shit about it.
The model s, it's always been pretty easy and I guess I'm not yet used to the truck even though I've had it for a month.
So today, I got a little too close to the fence and boy did it mess up the truck. We're not talking about running into the fence directly but trying to back up and then I got a little too close and then one of the panels got caught in the post and it really messed up the post but it bent as well. Check out the pictures.
Bear in mind that this is parking speeds, very low speed. Judging from the post, that's some serious damage so if this were a person, they'd be pretty messed up.
I tried to bend that panel back with my hands and it's impossible. I tried to pliers and it's impossible.
There's this dude that happens to have a body shop across the street from the co-working space where I go to and I'm going to go and see if he can bend it back in place enough to make it look normal again.

I do so as well but I got a little overconfident. So whenever I am in a tight space I turn the all camera view on the screen and proceed slowly. For me at least thinks works very well.
We've all been there!I do so as well but I got a little overconfident.
That is nothing. A tow truck slid into my Jeep passenger door and put a dent/scratch it. $5k to repair it.That's an expensive repair for a panel. The SS on a CT is completely different material than the steel and aluminum they normally work with. I highly doubt any of their tools would be effective. Remember standard automotive 100 ton stamping presses couldn't be used to make the SS CT panels. Plus as I mentioned up thread the SS panels are bonded to steel sub panels, they aren't a single layer.Call at Paintless dent removal guy / shop...they can work magic...
