IMO reflects growing demand.... and I predict it will keep growing

Many have started to realise If they are buying FSD anyway, might as well leapfrog the long queue now or wait years.

When the momentum runs out of steam, I don't know. Perhaps Tesla is forecasting a drop-off by October, if orders are already filled beyond that, the Foundation series could extend into 2025.

Since we’re throwing opinions out for facts.. I imagine that cybertruck will be a low volume niche market. They’ll remove foundation logos and sell them for $100k.

Model X Is better in every way.
Got to drive a Model X as a loaner while my S was in the shop. It’s just a minivan. Very disappointed in it. Not an SUV, low floor, tall ceiling, everything about it was a minivan, with cool doors. My wife was thinking about getting an X until we got one for a week. So disappointing.

Why is it disappointing? What should it be?

It was marketed as an SUV. And a $100k+ minivan is just hard to swallow.

What do you mean, a $100K+ minivan is just hard to swallow?

The Model X sells for $79,990 with 335 miles of range.
80k is just had to swallow for a minivan, and it easily specs up to over a 100k
But in fairness, I haven’t looked the new ones model X and the pictures on Tesla do have the interior looking more SUV/less minivan-ish.

Not exactly what Elon said at the investor event, but this seems to be the new verbiage for people getting invites now. This is not my invite, but I saw posted elsewhere.

Looks like the Non-FS wait will be longer than expected

Does anyone remember Model 3 ramp up and pricing dynamics?

My experience of ordering M3 in 2022 was that there was no Base $35K model and the cheapest option had "Premium" Interior "included" and non-optinonal, making total price $47K + destination fee.
I'm afraid that even when FS ends, CT still will not be available at $79,999 but will be CT+"Premium Interior" or whatever non-optional Premium package "included" still making CT $90-100K truck.
The only hope if Tesla wants to make it eligible for$7500 EV credit :(
Please prove me wrong!

Sounds like you want an R1S. X is not an off-road SUV

It's not that.

Tesla has 26 billion dollars sitting in the bank. It's making money hand over foot. It's making a higher profit margin on EVs than most ICE cars are sold at.

Make money? They're sitting on several times more money than they spent to make Tesla profitable in the first place.

-Crissa
And? They're building a new car factory, ramping AI and Optimus, building battery energy factories..... this $26 billion is being used, not hoarded.

Oh for effs sake you don't have to be a troll, either.

-Crissa
I'm not trolling. I literally have owned every Tesla model, and can directly compare the Cybertruck to the Model X. I see you post tons of messages all the time, it's crazy really, and you don't even have a Cybertruck and you're trying to tell me how the Model X compares when I've literally owned both

Please let us know when you get a Cybertruck so you can offer actual real world experience like I can.

Food for thought… it would require over 6,000 calls/communications per day, or more (as well as followup deliberations) for the last 7months go thru the entire list of reservation holders to enquire their inrerest…

“over 2million reservation holders”…or so they say
calls vs emails are completely different lol. I never got a call.
