...is that it's quite difficult to return to driving a non-Cybertruck, no joke. I

took my Honda Pilot to get gas and it took me a good few minutes to adjust to turning, and turning, and turning the steering wheel. I almost drove into the grass on my first turn as I hadn't steered enough. WTF is that? Same issue with driving any non-Cybertruck, the constant spinning of the steering wheel feels as anachronistic as a manual choke or hand cranking windows. Something is definitely wrong with all these non-Cybertrucks, it shouldn't take that much input to get the vehicle turning. It felt like a computer mouse or trackpad that is set to low sensitivity so you're swiping and swiping to get the dang cursor to move.

I'm hoping all future Teslas have the progressive steering because I can't go back to that cranking and cranking. It just ain't right.

So true! When I drive my Rivian R1T after driven my Cyberbeast, it's literally frustrating to have to deal with the antiquated steering setup on my R1T ?

My guess is that SBW engineering validation in the real world was quite rigorous.

SBW was not implemented for cost savings as I am confident that all of the part numbers add up to more expense than a conventional steering system.

Tesla was forced to implement SBW w/RWS because the long wheelbase would have made the Cybertruck unwieldy during parking and U-turn maneuvers.

Based on almost all reviews, it was a brilliant decision

I've got a 2022 MY loaner while my FS AWD CT is getting the wiper/applique deal fixed.

I have a 2020 MY. Love the car. But it feels pedestrian to drive now, haha!!

CT FTW!!

Do you know if the new appliqué/wiper motor replacement parts have different part numbers than the originals?

They have the same part numbers listed on the work order as what's currently listed in the EPC. I'm not sure if they are a different PN than what was factory-installed.

They are also replacing the wiper arm/blade assembly. That WAS a different part number than previously listed in the EPC, but I now see Telsa has updated the PN for the arm/blade assembly in the EPC with the new number. I don't know what's changed on the arm/blade. I took pics of the 'old' assembly to see if I could spot any changes, haha!!

Yeah, you don't truly understand the difference until you get in a "regular" car again. It' feels like you're turning the wheel for days. ?

Yup. My Beast is in the shop for tint today so I took my F150 Lightning in to work today (plan to sell it eventually but keeping it around for backup for a spell). The Lightning is a quieter and cushier ride - I'll give it that - but I, too, miss the steering and the pep of the Beast. Having to do hand-over-hand just to turn right now seems so dumb. I also miss the camera feed. Kept looking at the screen before lane changing to be reminded "oh.. mirrors. ..and look over the shoulder for the blind spot." It is so nice to see everything with a quick glance on the screen (I drive with the cameras up all the time).

Almost wrecked my Model 3 the first time I drove it after driving the CT exclusively for about a week after delivery.
