Thanks for sharing. I hope this makes it onto the CT, it’ll be extremely useful.
If you look at the bottom of the screen shots you can see that the CT is included in the models listed.

2024.32.3 does not appear to be going to CTs only the car fleet. I did get it on my S yesterday but my 2018 doesn't have UWB so no hands free frunk for me. I'm sure we will get it on the CT eventually but we are still on the 2024.26.x branch.

so the ModelY will be now open and hit the garage door everytime I approach it..?

please TESLA use your software prowess to sense a close object so the Liftgate does not open and go bang-bang…. The car can drive itself, rite!?!?

Your long-time customers with PDC sensors would appreciate continued support and feature rich updates as well..

Check the screen shot, above, you can toggle it off for a "Home Exclusion", your problem is solved.

Problem is not solved.. some people at RALPHs and SCHNUCKs like to park very close to your rear bumper… or a myriad of other places that is ‘not at home’

would be nice if this could be detected and prevented by the system..

It is...you have to be standing STILL, right in front of the CT (or the rear for the M3) for this to work. If you walk past it, it won't open.

And the feature can be either partially disabled at home, or totally disabled if you don't want it on.

There is an option to open the liftgate remotely in the phone… 20yards away or halfway around the globe. This is the true ‘convenience’ in my opinion. It should already be open when I arrive.

and for this use-case, the aforementioned sensing would be highly desired.

And yes, I know I can simply look at the camera view, however the sensors are already there… so why not?

surely this would only apply to the old ‘dumb, obsolete’ tech and not the new vision based…

Why wouldn't they release this for both iOS and Android initially?? Come on!
I feel ya' man. Us Android types seem to be secondary to iOS. :(

The lift gate swings in an arc… meaning if there is a object too close in the rear (another car for example ) there could be contact.. this is why we always ‘step back’ when we are standing near..

the opening height is not the concern..

With some things. Android, from my experience and reading around, seems to be more reliable with phone as key and using Tesla wireless chargers.
