On my first trip, it did ding and prompt me to move the steering wheel slightly. After the third time, I saw the message on the screen that the in-cabin camera was obstructed. It was my garage door openi g for the building. After I moved it, no more dings or prompts to toich the squircle.

I think it’s less naggy than my Model Y. I did get the look forward warning once when I was looking left out the drivers window. The Model Y fsd is flashing all the time at me, I’m pretty sure they lowered the nag on this version.

I had FSD active at night for the first time tonight. Extremely different experience than driving FSD in the day. I was CONSTANTLY getting an attention reminder and/or blue light. This never happened once during the day. NOT HAPPY with nighttime FSD experience.

Just pay attention. It’s not hard. 50k+ miles on FSD and not a single strike.

While driving the Model X in FSD mode, I found it frustrating that it constantly required me to firmly grip the steering wheel—not just lightly touch it—every time.
You don't have to "firmly grip" the steering wheel. You have to apply a very small amount of torque to wheel. I would simply rest my hand at 5 or 7 o'clock on the wheel to apply a sufficient amount of torque. You can still do so to satisfy the FSD attention monitor.

The sad part is they had to implement this because some people literally thought they could not pay attention to anything and it would magically do everything on its own.

This is my first Tesla, and I'm new to the whole FSD (Full Self-Driving) experience. Last week, I had a Model X loaner with the latest FSD software.

While driving the Model X in FSD mode, I found it frustrating that it constantly required me to firmly grip the steering wheel—not just lightly touch it—every time.

The Cybertruck will only prompt you if you're not paying attention to the road, which is a night-and-day difference compared to the Model X. I believe this is due to the in-cabin camera
yup, I noticed the same thing. Had a Model X loaner with FSD and it didn’t care if I gazed off to the right side of the windshield (still looking forward, just eyes not looking perfectly straight). But man, the Cybertruck internal cabin camera is crazy sensitive. It almost makes FSD unusable. I would rather drive myself and be able to safely look around at my surroundings thought the windshield. Mind, you, I have a perfect driving record the last 25 years.

I hated having to touch the wheel on the old versions. It’s so much nicer to just be able to look forward.
you don’t have to hold the wheel on your CT FSD? I do. And I have to look forward, straight ahead the whole time. Can’t even enter navigation on the screen. It needs to be dialed down.

Pretty sure you can turn off the driver monitoring and just do the steering wheel nag in the FSD options.

I know its an option on my 2018 Model 3 at least, not sure on CT.

I’m not quite sure why this merits WTF in the title unless you really meant “WTF don’t I read release notes and owners manuals?” Because it’s relatively easy to get a strike within a few minutes of improper usage.

What happen after 5 strikes ? Is this for real?
You turn into a monkey :) What do you think happens? They block you from using FSD for a while. It says right there on your image. If it turns out to be a problem on their end then they fix it. Otherwise it might be a good idea to read the instructions :)

I wrote my response before trying FSD myself, but now I have. I find it no better than 11.3.6 on our Model Y and, in some cases, worse. I had a forced disengagement, by the truck, on a windy road that I drive every day and which FSD has never disengaged on in the past. I have another issue that no FSD version has ever solved that it also failed on, so that was unfortunate but not new. I also tried parallel parking and it got too close to the car in front and seemed like it wanted to keep going so I disengaged. It seems like the truck FSD is very cautious in some ways and not cautious enough in other ways. I am hoping that Tesla will fix that aspect that dings the driver for its own faults. Since this is the first release for the truck I am sure that they will improve.

I've only been chastised once, that was for looking straight down at my phone. It doesn't mind if I look at the screen briefly. It's also cool to look at my phone if I hold it in front of the screen lol
