Not that it’s needed but do you think it’s feasible that Elon unlocks more horsepower for cyberbeast’s at some point? If S & X Plaid have 1020hp with a smaller battery, it seems possible but I’m sure there are plenty of reasons why it’s not feasible or suggested.

No. They've never unlocked more power on Plaid, Ludicrous, etc.. more power comes with upgraded hardware in subsequent versions. If this does happen, it will be on base models, but I think that is unlikely with CT. Although there's probably room for a small improvement, don't think they could add enough power to AWD CT to be worth $2000+ but I could see a minor improvement coming for free, like when my 2018 M3 got a little boost (from like 4.9 to 4.7 0-60 or something like that iirc).

correct. The reason that my CB does not have the same horsepower as my model S plaid is that it doesn’t have the same motors. The CB is missing the carbon fiber lining that allows the Plaid to achieve its speed and horsepower rating.

As has recently happened for the original roadster, perhaps, down the line a third-party may produce a battery that allows it to eek out more horsepower, but that won’t be something that comes from Tesla. IMO.

Based off the pack size used in the CB/CT AWD at 125kWh, and the 4680 discharge C-rate , the battery would not seem to be the bottleneck in this scenario. Also running at 800V would make it easier to get more power from the setups they use, including the inverters.

The question here is why you want more HP, as in particular, the CB is traction limited until highway speeds anyway, so having more horsepower won't get you much more acceleration under the US highway speed limit.

I'd say it's technically possible, but unlikely from Tesla direct atm. There are aftermarket options for other Tesla models, so maybe they will come to CT as well.

I would rather want a top speed limit (132 mph) removal, it is so easy to reach on an open straight track and it does not feel fast at all. Yeah, I know the consumption would be crazy, but I'd love to try it on a long racetrack or a drag strip.

I don’t really care for more power in my beast but I would really welcome some actual beast like aesthetics.

I’m a bit disappointed that the cyber “beast” Literally looks identical to the $20,000 cheaper variant.

The beast very much like the raptor R should’ve had distinguishable front bumper and rear bumper. Maybe a small LED strip in the side mirrors

It should have looked like a BEAST!!

I have a AWD and hoping for a performance upgrade. Going from 4.1 to a 3.5 Zero to Sixty would be awesome. I would spend 2,000 on the upgrade if it was available. Could be another source of income from Tesla to unlock without any hardware upgrades or any real cost.

That’s old school design aesthetics and not the clean, modern, Tesla way.

I had a Model S Plaid, only difference was a five letter badge on the back visually (and the spoiler I suppose). IYKYK

You can come close today. Most test in the high 3’s 0-60 already. Change over your rubber to summer performance and you’ll likely be there.

You're actually most of the way there.

Tesla subtracts roll-out on the CB 0-60, but not the AWD.

If you subtract roll-out on the AWD, 0-60 is ~3.8 sec

Or to put it the other way, if you add roll-out to the CB, 0-60 is ~2.9 sec.

Tesla has done this with other models to make the 0-60 delta between trims seem bigger than it really is.

So...it we totally reverse what Tesla does and add roll-out to CB, and subtract roll-out from AWD, it would look like:

CB 0-60: 2.9 sec
AWD 0-60: 3.8 sec

I'll take it, haha!!
