Wanted to start a thread with the Good bad and Ugly of FSD 13.2.1 (or similar versions)
So far, mostly good for me… post your experiences…
Good:
- Turning and braking are much smoother than 12. This makes for a much more comfortable ride.
- The New FSD profiles are nice. I have only used “Hurry”, but it’s a lot closer to city driving than any previous FSD.
- Better natural aggressive driving. The Truck will move into fast lane, speed up, then move back over to get off exit Instead of slowing down and moving over behind a slower car. It also handled a very short highway on-ramp very well. It sped up quickly, merged without hesitation, and accelerated. I stopped letting it handle this on ramp in previous version
- Less hesitation before turning. Turns are executed faster
- I was waiting at a light for a left turn. And when the opposite light turned red, the FSD turned the wheel a bit, almost like it was “getting ready” to turn. It was cool.
- After a light turned green, my truck paused and waited for a car to cross that entered the intersection way too late. I would not have seen it and had to brake to let it pass.
Bad:
- It’s still a bit too cautious with unprotected left turns.
- Hurry still needs to be a bit more aggressive. Faster acceleration, slightly quicker movements.
- When making a left turn on a road divided by a raised median, it still felt a bit too close. But it didn’t hit it.
Ugly:
- Some guy flipped me the bird on my very first FSD drive. It wasn’t the driving, he apparently doesn’t like my taste in vehicles! ?
- Nothing else, but it’s early.
I’ll update more as I get more miles. Will be interested to hear what others have seen.
