UPDATE: Read downthread A bit, this was unlikely to be a GigaPress. Rest of this post is left as original to preserve context.

Is it just me or does this new one look bigger than the other ones?

That’s a lot of axles.

(GP is around the 8:30 mark, I think it’s queued up)

How many Gigapresses do they have installed so far?

If this is indeed the first Cybertruck press, that means it could be operational in 2-3 months?

This suggests to that production might start as soon as August 2022. Not necessarily likely, but possible.

These hoist points can support some weight. The trailer rigs are awesome too. I wonder what it is and hope your hypothesis is correct.

From what I recall prior IDRA crates were pretty plainly labeled. These are in a plain packaging.

Maybe it’s a surprise for someone?

The black and green tarps are in addition to the white wrapping. I have not seen the previous crates. Anyone know if these are consistent with the press?

Cool. I have to make the drive through Austin and by the Tesla factory twice this week for Turkey Day activities. Hopefully, there are no more massive 18 wheelers... err 40 wheelers on the road then.

In his notes Jeff said it was another stamping machine, delivered pretty obviously to the stamping machine building. What makes you think it is a gigapress?

They are not. IDRA uses blue boxes with their company name clearly marked.

Sorry to burst your bubble @Ogre but I am in agreement with @Jhodgesatmb on this one. So far all IDRA shipping containers have been custom plywood boxes with a blue IDRA stamped on the side.

The fact that the temporary lift is parked outside the stamping area (no clear and easy road to the casting area) suggests this monster of a new part is for the stamping building.

I have never obsessed over whether or not someone's package is larger and not about to start now. Not that there is anything wrong with that ;)

The crates sitting in the foreground say IdRA on them.... it might be something else but looks like IdRA

My assumption it was Gigapress was mostly based on size and delivery mechanisms being similar to Gigapress previously. So maybe just something else very heavy.

Even so, the stamping equipment for the Model Y has been in place for some time hasn’t it?

Seems unlikely they are getting something this substantial for the Model Y production 3-4 weeks prior to production start.

There are between 38 to 42ish crates around. I choose to will it to be the IDRA press. I lose nothing being wrong, and we all gain if Ogre is correct.
