This would make me quite happy:
  • Dual Motor AWD with 450+ miles $59,900
No need to get greedy here.
I'd be for that....dual with 500 mile range for $49,000....as long as my place in line doesn't change

I want a dual motor, more for the battery, I would be happy with a single motor if it came sooner. I really don't care if it will come in a 4 motor configuration, I can't even afford the 3 motor one at the 2019 price, and I would love to have that 500 mile battery.
Same goes for me. I would love all the power I am sure, but what I need is RANGE. I would pay 70 tri motor price for 500 mile range, but my perfect CT would be Dual motor 500 mile range (need range and 4wd, not to drag race). All in all, its just great to get some new information finally!

I would very much like if they followed the current product lines.
  • RWD / SR - Base model (realistically this is a few years down the road but will exist)
  • AWD LR
  • Plaid
Plaid would be all about performance. AWD LR would be all about range. I think this is more along the lines of how people think about the truck anyhow. Lots of people excited about range who don’t care overmuch about sub 3 seconds to 60MPH.

My personal sweet spot is that the quad will be the off-road baddie with a 35" wheel package and 500 mile range for $89k. That way if you keep your previous FSD choice the price goes to the magical $99k total.

The Tri motor will be a 650+ mile LR road tripper/hauler on road tires for $79k.

Really grateful for those 2 sub 10K reservations I have, one with dual motor, and one with tri-motor.

That will just sell more Hummers, Rivians, Lightnings and Silverados. It is good for Environment.
Only IF they build them in volume. Which is highly UNLIKELY!!!!!!!!!!

Don't be too surprised if the roadmap announcement gives us the following:

  • Single Motor RWD Dual Motor AWD with 250+ miles $39,900
  • Dual Motor AWD with 300+ 500+ miles $49,900
  • Tri Motor Quad Motor AWD with 500+ 600+ miles $69,900
  • Quad Motor AWD with 600+ miles and Baja 1000 ready $89,900
But then, I have more of an optimistic view of things and I trust that Elon is ready to kick some serious ass.
I can get on board with this. If this were the final pricing and options.. I would stick to my current dual motor pricing and gain 200 miles range over what I originally chose. And I would continue belt tightening in hopes that I could get as close to 70k as possible so that I would only have to take a small loan at worst out for the quad motor awd with 600 miles range! Even if I couldn't get that higher goal.. i'd be way more happy with the second place finish than I was when I reserved!

So now we know how they are going to get around not honoring the preorders. By producing the 4 motor version for a couple years until people get tired of waiting for cheaper versions. My bet is it will land somewhere around $90k. There are definitely enough people out there with money to spend to keep production of this version busy for a couple years. I really think this is the strategy. Make a version that no one has been able to order so that you don't have to honor the orders. Seems to line up with a lot of the nonsense that has come out of Tesla in the last couple years. But I guess when you have almost unlimited demand you can get away with it.

It seems like Tesla has deviated from the original mission of getting people into the best affordable EVs to get the world more green and now its make the most record breaking, mold breaking, bad ass cars in the world because they have the demand for it. Honestly, its making me lose respect for them. I have been saving and I could probably stretch to afford a $90k truck if I really wanted to, but I am not that truck guy that needs a showy, sub 3 sec., crab walking, truck. I am happy with a great $50k EV truck that gets the job done.

I could be wrong and maybe they will produce more reasonable versions in a reasonable time frame. I know Elon has said that this is one of his favorite projects and he wants to make it the best truck out there and there is some serious competition now. I guess we will just have to wait until the earning call to learn more.
yea...he wants the best truck out there....but if you keep updating design and making advances in technology for something that has not been built yet, you not only will fall further and further behind in releasing the vehicle to the public, but continue improvements will always keeps you not producing anything.......we need the best, but want to stay ahead of the competition......well, we will continue to design and never ship until we get it right and beat them

I think the Tri motor is getting dropped entirely.

Doesn’t make sense to have an extra configuration. It’s going to be dual or quad for a long time with maybe the single creeping into the lineup when demand slacks off or production gets high enough for a lower end model.

Yeah… I don’t see this as great news. The tri motor was already more truck than I cared to buy. Seems like we might have to choose whether to spend a bunch more to get the quad or have ship date moved back. Eh. That stings a bit.
Exactly, I have ZERO desire to have a massive truck that can go 0-60 in under 3 sec.
Early on, I was NOT wanting to be one of the early owners of a Cybertruck. Because it felt like it would be like driving a supercar around, way more attention than I seek. But now here we are 2 years after I threw my $100 into the ring, and thinking it could be 2 more years of waiting doesn't sound too good. I'll have to digest this a bit.
In a way it would be great to see the first Cybertrucks on the road are a Supertruck. As soon as they come out, the world will be totally blown away!

I don't want that kind of attention, so I'll just wait for my tamed version of THE BEAST!
