  1. Cybertruck Body Prototype Casting spied uncovered!! 😲

I'm certainly no authority but would guess that there are no restrictions other than a generalized "Any load must be secure."
  2. Any REAL updates? Give me SOMEthing...

I thought others said that what was sitting on the floor did not appear to be the gigapress.
  3. Any REAL updates? Give me SOMEthing...

Which is when they'll announce a delay until mid-2024.
  4. Any 500mi range updates?

I'm sorry too, because from what I've read over the years, if anyone knows what they're talking about, it's Crissa.
  5. Cybertruck Body Prototype Casting spied uncovered!! 😲

Does this mean that the one-of-a-kind Italian gigapress is in place and working?
  6. When to expect delivery when i'm 270,000 place in line.

They did? "... many if not all"? That's news to me, and I have not missed anything that appeared on this site. Do you have any more details?
  7. Import from US to Canada to save money

"In Canada, you do have to replace these stickers and manuals when you sell it ...." Once a vehicle is admitted to the country, I'm unaware of any federal statutory requirements on selling it. Registering/licencing it is provincial. In my province, Ontario, that requires only a safety...
  8. Import from US to Canada to save money

I heard of a case (which I cannot verify): an owner of a US-purchased new car was refused Canadian importation (in Ontario) because it did not contain an owners manual in French. (He got one, and was admitted on the next try by a customs guy who didn't ask for it.)
  9. Is there anyway to make the CyberTruck carjack proof, (so everyone knows you can't take this car)? It has to be a super cool way of course!!!

No, that is not really "what full coverage insurance Is made for." Insurance is made to enrich the insurer. After paying your claim (less the deductible), they will expect to recoup the payout through cancelling your no-claims discount and/or raising your premium. If that's not likely, they...
  10. Is there anyway to make the CyberTruck carjack proof, (so everyone knows you can't take this car)? It has to be a super cool way of course!!!

In a couple of years this site will be focused on the many add-ons offered for the CT by Tesla and third-party suppliers.
  11. Is there any hope for the 40k Cybertruck?

If and when the seller's Cybertruck market changes to a buyer's one, there's not much inflation between now and then, and Tesla comes up with a new variant (smaller, more basic), then I'd say the possibility exists.
  12. Ford going 100% online for EV sales

We all (unless some readers are dealers) hope this CEO's plan passes, and that other makes will follow suit. But two concerns are that this is one single newspaper's story, and Ford has a history of getting rid of executives. Let's not celebrate until we see what the Texas dealership consortium...
  13. Airless Tires not adjustable

Tire design is a compromise. That is, making one aspect better will make another worse. Airless design is well underway, notably by a Michelin division -- for combat vehicles. Early civilian applications are expected to be for off-road machinery (many early farm-tractor tires were airless)...
  14. Giga Austin to start production of Cybertruck in Q3?

On delivery, we don't know when, where, and what. Sorry.
  15. Cybertruck to use 48V instead of 12V?

If a 48v battery will fail like a 12v one (after 4-6 yrs) it will surely be costlier than a 12v. Another downside would be problems with connecting accessories that come only in 12v.
  16. Update from Elon: Cybertruck production starting late 2022 and volume production in 2023

The early production could be high because the CT was designed around an efficient assembly line more than was the case with other models (so I've heard). Or low because of component shortages and unexpected glitches with such a unique model. And because the CT will be competing with two other...
  17. Update from Elon: Cybertruck production starting late 2022 and volume production in 2023

You can't know that -- without having two unknowns in hand: the production numbers and the delivery locations.
