I definitely have the operator look with my beard and in my cold winter gear. Are you cowering yet?

I've got a decent beard going too, but the only way I'd be described as an operator is if someone asked me to transfer their phone call.

edit

I should add she's highly supportive of Cybertruck purchasing, and also deeply loyal.

Not that I know what I'm talking about, but those security dudes looked hardcore.
Yep.

Musk started taking security very seriously a couple years back. Very military looking.

When you piss off Russian oligarch’s and maybe Putin, you need good protection.

Guys, stock on WD-40
So I see you don't know yet how to care for stainless steel...
I suspect that this advice was offered in jest, but if not, I DO know how to clean a stainless steel vehicle, and WD-40 is not one of the products I use.

Here's why:
1) WD-40 is a petroleum product which does not deep clean the stainless but will smear a shine over any stains.

2) Unless you subsequently wash the WD-40 off the stainless, which is difficult as WD stands for Water Displacement, the greasy shine left behind will attract dust after a very short time.

3) WD-40 has a mild but unpleasant odor.

You can search the forum for threads for maintaining a stainless-steel vehicle. In addition, I'm sure Tesla will issue their own guide for maintaining this awesome beast.

Serious Question, no troll. Does anyone think that the reservation number really means that much? I mean I am number 270 in the the tracker (before the BS with the quad motor fake entries, now it says 600). I personally do not think it means that much. I believe Tesla will reach out to local reservation around Austin first (I am in Fremont), which could be the first 1000 or so vehicles. I would imagine after that a lot of back door handshakes and employee vehicles (maybe a couple of thousand more). Then who knows how they will adhere to reservation numbers... it could be some sort of loose relationship with reservation but not likely it will be anywhere close to sequential IMO.
I would bet they'll spread them out so more people see them in the wild. I've heard over and over that it looks better in person than on-screen. This is what they must have done for the Model Y. We ordered ours on April 20th of 2020 and got it June 20th of 2020. Our VIN is between 11000 and 11300
Basically, they started production in January of 2020 and had produced at least 11,000 by June. That's not a ton but Tesla SHOULD be able to produce more Cybertrucks at their newest facility than they could produce Model Ys under a tent in an old converted factory.

IF Tesla starts production of the Cybertruck in May, they'll be able to make at least 11,000 by October (same as Model Y ramp). And then, if they ramp the same, I see no reason they can't make 20,000 this year.

I like it. It's conservative, but I'd point out the last day of summer is Sept 22nd. So production may not start until later in your chart. Also, I am not sure what the timeline is from production to delivery, but I am hopeful that deliveries look something like this.

For what it's worth, I'm about 90k overall and I think 20k-ish for a CT3 w/FSD. Some people will cancel or delay their purchase, so I'm hoping for a finalization email this summer or fall at a price I'm willing to pay including insurance. But we also have no idea how the rollout priority is going to work. I'm guessing Colorado will be fairly early though.
yea,

I think we are sandbagging ourselves. Fait Accompli approach.

Elon is managing MSM, and we are the fallout.

Already making 1000 4680 packs per week. And scaling.

Packs are STOCKPILING on the 3rd floor. Why ?

I think we should consider Elon also said Tesla would make 1.8 million cars in 2023.

This is true.... And I agree. There will be more than 10k trucks if they start making them May- June. What level of production is high volume.?

Please provide a detailed explanation of where you are on the 4680 ramp. What are the current road blocks? When do you expire t to scale to 10,000 vehicles a week?

First, I just want to say congrats and thanks to the Tesla 4680 team for achieving 1,000 a week in Q4. It was no small feat. Definitely a result of more than a couple of years of hard work. As far as where we stand in Texas, one of four lines are in production, with the remaining three in stages of commissioning and install. Really, our 2023 goal as a 4680 team is to deliver a cost-effective ramp of 4680s well ahead of Cybertruck. Focus areas are dialing in and improving the quality of the high-volume supply mechanical parts and driving factory process yields up as much as possible. Between two of those things, if we had achieved those key goals, we'll be well set up to -- for a major 4680 year in 2024.

what I get out of that is 4680 availability is still an unknown.
