As an HG/PG pot become kiteboarder I do not think I have ever gone to a launch site that my old Toyota Hilux didn’t handle just fine. So my question is, wrt the HG/PG comment, what is it about the beast that you think will be different/better in that context? I think it is fine for anyone to buy anything they want; I just don’t see the value in that context.
It was the original idea of the trimotor with 500 mile range, camp mode, and the roll up bed cover to keep flying gear in the back but relatively dust free and stainless steel to not get pinstripes from brush on 4WD roads.

It’s my understanding the beast will have more options off road and with the range extender I’ll have the range I want so I can disappear for a few days in the wild and be able to use camp mode and all my electric accessories.

When I bought my first Tesla I opted not to get performance version. I just didn't see the value justifying the increase in price. Didn't take long before I regretted that decision. Not this time.

P.S. I'm 55

Do you drive 300 miles per day?
lol that’s the question we always ask the nay sayers isn’t it ? - no, not daily. But I do a lot of very long drives regularly. Have driven cross country many times in my 3P and found myself wishing I had an LR Y instead. Now we do, and we planned on that being our roadtrip car, but depending on how ‘regular street’ tires do on the AWD CT, we may just use the truck after all.

Other way around for me - bought the performance and wish I’d gone for the LR instead. But to each their own.

The difference between the AWD to The Beast is only 20 miles. So you'd rather have 20 more miles of range as opposed to having 250 extra horse power?
I don’t see the point of the extra power - honestly. A pickup truck that quick is just silly IMO. But that’s the beauty of opinions ? I’ll keep the difference to justify giving my kid the model 3 instead of buying them a different car ??

Those are valid concerns. The beast has no off-road options that the AWD doesn’t have and you can get the range extender for any Cybertruck. Anyone that says otherwise either doesn’t know what they are talking about or is lying.

I have a long range Y with acceleration boost, it’s fast but I want the Beast for more fun.

Wouldn't it be nice if people just bought the truck they wanted and didn't have to be judged by someone with different needs and a different opinion. Never mind, too much to hope for.
I think everyone should buy what they want. Yes, agree. But they also shouldn’t rationalize based on made up facts. Just do it. For that matter, we don’t even need to hear of people’s decisions. Don’t ask, don’t tell :) you never heard that I ordered an AWD. Oops!

it comes in handy quite often
and you def feel the difference especially when you’re towing or have heavy stuff in the bed

Interesting. The payload and towing capacity for AWD and Beadt are identical.
