Out of curiosity, how many others have placed their order on 12/8 and still have not received a VIN yet? Placed my order at about 9:30pm on 12/8 for the Beast but still no sight of a VIN… (Irvine is closest SC to me.)

I had my friend who works for Tesla look up my VIN. He said my truck is still in Texas going thru the PDI (Pre delivery inspection) process. He said the truck will not ship until everything checks out. I guess this could be one reason why some people have a longer than usual lapse between vin allocation and delivery day.

Man I wish I had a friend that worked at tesla, lol. Would be nice to actually be told what they know, rather than generic info. They don't even want to tell me anything until the truck is here.

Just picked up my Beast yesterday. Reserved launch day, ordered 12/9. Texas. Not an employee or connected in anyway, just your average plebeian.

I like your humility, but an average plebe with the ability to swing 122k for an amazing truck!

I never got a vin i even checked 3 hours before they just called me. They just called saying pick up on 3/26 costa mesa

Watched a CyberBeast delivery at Tesla Sunnyvale in California this aft. Buyer has two Model X and ordered a CyberBeast.

Zero celebration - he simply came in, signed the docs and drove off.

VIN was 01xx.
