More details for those curious…

Things I found that were not mentioned in the release notes:
  • Mixer dotchanged from circles to squares (now better match theme)
  • Lock confirmation sound in Lock settings is grayed out and I don’t know why. No new sounds found, but boombox still works the same. My custom sounds now show up in the honk replacement. They didn’t before.
  • The walk away lock sound is much louder than before. You can increase gain in custom sounds to help this, but they are all louder overall.
  • Disney+ no longer logs me out every time. (FYI, if you don’t see some straming apps, use abettertheater.com in your browser to login to them. It seems to cause the app to appear in the apps section.

I engaged Off-Road mode while parked, raising the suspension. Since I was already parked, it didn’t drop to Entry mode, complicating egress.

I could swear that it failed to level off when I later returned and drove away, but that might be my imagination 🥴

Not going to happen. That requires four motors so each wheel can be controlled independently.
Why would it require that? The beast could just disengage the front motor and run the rear motors in opposing directions. That would be awesome.

Though I agree it isn't going to happen.

If only two wheels are doing the movement, then the wheels on the opposite end of the vehicle would need to turn 90 degrees to allow it to rotate - otherwise, it would simply be dragging them.

LOL, that was a requested feature since when you're off-roading, you don't want it to lower onto a rock when you hop out to check clearance, path, etc.

Right, but once I drove away, I was no longer in Offroad mode and yet the ride height remained high, and possibly not even level

lock sound is greyed out because you have the boombox lock checked. Once you do uncheck it you can use the default horn as the lock sound!

Thanks! That makes sense now! Horn isn’t that fun. I’ll stick with the “charged up” sound or my custom “I’ll be back” sound I added!

And my luck strikes again. Both diff are stuck engaged.
Can’t take any turns more than 5 degrees of steering without destroying the tires.

Anyone know how I can do the custom sound? I’m trying to do the “oh yeah” sound from Ferris Bueller. I have it as a wave file. On the thumb drive (labeled as TESLADRIVE) I have a TeslaCam file folder, a Boombox file folder, and a LockChime.wav (relabeled “oh yeah” song). Also in the Boombox file folder I have a “oh yeah” wav file. What am I doing wrong?

Before the update I always start driving Offroad mode Very High, park Extract and when driving away it will automatically back to Offroad High with no speed limit. First time as usual I confirmed Offroad Very High and drove away but it didn't increase speed over 25m/hr when I yielded on to traffic. Scared me a little while a car in the back didn't know why I drove too slow. I needed to manually choose High to speed up.

I didn't read all the instruction of the new Offroad app so there might be a way to get it back to High to drive normal like before.
