Still in the bottom spot when I look.
Maybe refresh your browser, the CT is now in the second spot for me, just after the Model 3/Y lease deals.

Also, the banner at the top is still advertising free Supercharging for Foundation Series CTs, so that was not just an "end-of-quarter/end-of year" incentive.

The talk about unsold inventory is all very interesting but mostly just fake news. Less than 800 inventory trucks, if true, is insanely low compared to where they should be for healthy (sales-maximizing) operations. Suppose Tesla produced 100 trucks per day (way less than the plan) and it took on average 14 days to match with consumers (unreasonably fast in an inventory-based market even without dealerships) they would have 1400 trucks in inventory status. They have, at most, a few hundred at any given time.

This means that customers who buy a vehicle on short notice, which is a large part of the auto market, do not have the ability to find a Cybertruck in their preferred trim. This means lost sales as a consequence of production being insufficient to meet demand.

In my area (south of Nashville) for example, there are NO inventory trucks within deliverable range except a few leftover Foundation Series. Tesla is still operating in almost exclusively build-to-order status for CT.

Unfortunately, this means I don't expect them to pull any demand levers like RWD or hasten tax credit eligibility by scavenging eligible 4680 supply away from model 3 and model Y. I'm guesstimating that the credit-eligible CT may ship when Model Y production slows for the refresh, and there are plenty of eligible 4680's?
Maybe its the California market, but plenty of 2024 NFS still on the lot next to my service center (I'm only 2 miles away, and its next to an In N Out so lol).

Doesn't this just give them the flexibility of selling you a CT with old batteries that they have in inventory?

Yes. I was told by Tesla a few days ago that no Cybertrucks currently available are eligible for the consumer tax credit. Now we wait and see how long it takes to sell those.

I want the free supercharging for life, with the rebate of $7.5k POS off, plus $7.5k POS off for the commercial clean vehicle credit. For out the door $65k +tax etc. Throw in the V2G for free as well.

This could get interesting.

If Tesla starts offering 2025 Cybertrucks with the $7,500 tax credit, then any remaining 2024s (which aren't eligible for that credit) will become unsellable. Why buy a 2024, when the 2025 is both newer and $7,500 cheaper?

So Tesla has to clear out any 2024s in inventory before they start offering 2025s with the tax credit. But what if they still have a lot of 2024s in inventory? Certain outside analysts suspect that this is the case. We know for a fact that Tesla is still trying to move 2024 Foundation Series CTs, months after the non-Foundation CTs were introduced.

There is a real possibility that CT sales could stall in January. There's now an obvious incentive for prospective customers to put their CT purchase on hold until the 2025s (with that sweet $7,500 discount) are available. But that can't happen until other customers step up and buy the remaining 2024s (without the sweet discount). Who wants to volunteer?

Would not be surprising to see new discounts or incentives on 2024 CTs. For example, customers might not miss the $7,500 tax credit if Tesla offered its own $7,500 discount. Or maybe Tesla could extend the free lifetime Supercharging offer, which is currently only offered on 2024 FS, to 2024 non-FS.

Alternatively, the whole issue becomes moot if the incoming administration revokes the $7,500 EV tax credit, which is also a real possibility.

Plenty of people won't qualify for the credit anyways. They could be the buyers until they release the new ones.

OK good point. Basically, individuals making $150,000+, or married couples making $300,000+, aren't eligible for the tax credit. So they don't care about this issue, and it will not affect the timing of their CT purchases.

However, I suspect that a significant fraction of the potential CT customer base has income below those levels, and is prepared to wait for a potential $7,500 savings. And in that case, the tax credit issue could still cause CT sales to slow down in January, even if they don't stall completely.

Canada too.
Also true. Although (1) due to differences in regulations, it does take some work to reconfigure a vehicle made for the US market into a vehicle that can be sold in Canada, and (2) the Canadian market has historically been much smaller for Tesla than the US market (less than one-tenth the size).

There are already unconfirmed reports that Tesla has been reconfiguring unsold 2024 Foundation Series CTs in the US for the Canadian market, where the FS is still being actively promoted. If so, Tesla could do the same for 2024 non-Foundation CTs.
