I don't appreciate all the junk they already put in the frunk though. I want every inch of space for utility. I count 3 seperate vessels in there, are they trying out a methane propelled version or somthin and it blew the doors clean off?

Looks like we won't get a frunk as most of their current vehicles house the heat pump/octovalve assembly in the frunk and since the front is already so short there isn't prob room for storage.

Frunk was announced at reveal and there is absolutely oodles of space under that massive dash behind the frunk that could house 3-4 times the volume of the MS HVAC system etc. There is no issue with space even though the frunk hood might be short, simply because the windscreen is further forward because of the rake angle. We are definitely getting a frunk, I just want a big one with good access.

I wouldn’t write it off so quickly.

They mention a frunk specifically on their web page still. If they can have a frunk on the Model 3, they should have plenty of space for on on this which is much bigger.

I have to say, I think the truck looks so much better in some of the recent pictures than when I first saw it. I know some of you love the way it looks, but I made my reservation inspite of the way looks and because of the value. I'm starting to think it is going to look a lot better, especially in person, than I initially thought. The profile from the side back is quite nice.

I'm with you on the improvements. I liked it already, but the tweaks have improved the design.

It is crazy how these two images taken from the same camera at slightly different angles make the truck look different shapes. First image makes it look super long, the second, taller and shorter.

In both, the wheels look tiny.

These are different wheels than the CT that rogan and musk drove at GT. Are they just swapping wheels or is this a different prototype? Its been well know. For a while that there are multiple prototypes around

Yep. This just makes it a little more apparent when they are sporting different wheels and I think tires as well.

The fact that there are 2 out on the playground at a time suggests they are pushing a bit harder then they have in the past.

With Y mostly waiting for approvals the engineers need something to do. After approvals they will likely be focused on the ramp for a while. Then back to the CT.

It is just simple geometry. the long picture shows more diagonally the shape of CT and other more square so it appears longer.

I’ve heard it suggested that the chip shortage is part of why Optimus got pushed up in priority.

Since they haven’t been able to launch new products they need an interesting project for their top engineers. Build for the future, keep your top engineers happy… win win.
