Financially you are better off keeping the standard 18” wheels and tires and picking up a like new set of 20” take offs. You could then sell your 18” steelies and tires.

You may not want to go to a 2” lower profile 20” tire after you experience the smooth ride with the standard 18” steelies and tires. The smooth ride in my $59k CT is probably my #2 favorite feature after SBW and RWS. I prefer Relaxed and Chill for my personal settings.

You guys are confusing the bed light bar and the tailgate brake light bar.

The bed lighter can't be changed because its encased in a metal structure thus you would have to change that too to plug in the long light bar.

The tailgate light can be changed to pawd unit and it will work but there is some sort of notice that appears on your screen which will have to be programmed out if you don't want to see it.
What he said 👆😀

What are the supposed downside (besides cost) to the 20”?
There is no real downside to 20's, just slightly different drive characteristics.

The 20" Core/Pirelli are the lightest combo at 78lbs which makes them the most responsive and controlled in compression/rebound reflexes.

The 18-inch steel/Goodyear are 88lbs and offer the most compliance and sidewall flex especially off-road and pressuring down for different terrain.

the 20" Cyber/AT are 93lbs. The wheels are heavier duty for offroad impacts

The 20" is going to give slighty better cornering due to stiffer sidewalls and the 18" is going to be slightly more compliant.

I prefer 18's for the cybertruck for esthetics, tire cost, road compliance.

Thanks for the tire discussion. I didn’t think through it enough, and am now wishing I had just ordered the 18”. No going back now it seems.

I stopped by the Tesla dealership to change my tires to the 20s and the rep told me it would reset my reservation. I think there was a disclaimer on the edit button

I stopped by the the Tesla dealership to change my tires to the 20s. He said it would reset my reservation. So no tires for me. Also they have no more info on your RN that the chatbot 🥴
I called into my local SC to swap to the 18’s. He said it wouldn’t change my spot in line or lose my loyalty credit.

ordered with the 20’s and swapped once I saw the 18s in videos. They look better in videos than on the site.

Good call!

I personally love the styling of the 18” steelies and the compliant ride characteristics. The 18" steel wheels look much better in person than they do in photos or videos.

I went to my Tesla account online and was able to easily access the edit feature. A few months back I added the Terrestrial Armor Package and FSD subscription and was assured by the local Service Center it would have no impact on my delivery date - originally Sept/Oct when I placed the order on 2/25, now 2027....which was the case before I upgraded.

Damn that looks better. You’ve inspired me 😂

Did you happen to try the same stuff you used on the tonneau?
I have to agree. @Mini2nut is an inspiration to my credit card and its existence. 😂😂😂

Only 2 more mods to go before putting my CC down😁

-front seat covers
-rocker side steps

I have been shopping all of the Chinese manufactured seat covers on the market and I'm not sold on any of them. I will keep shopping for better options.

I just purchased some rocker panel steps (blemished) at a significant discount that have a very OEM appearance. They should be shipping out next week.

I ordered the Hansshow white quilted covers on 6-2, they arrived 7-2. So don’t get in a big hurry for seat covers once you order, they take a while. I haven’t opened them yet, but they are supposed to be super soft Napa leather.
