This is kinda meh. I have no installer and a 400+ panel. So either I spend a ton to get multiple power walls and find an installer somehow or I can get 2500 credit.

How tf are we supposed to get 2500 of value when nothing is in stock and we are limited to a single purchase.

Sorry. It just feels like a "yea. We can't make good on the promise. Here's a voucher that's kinda useful."

I called Tesla support twice regarding this. Their most recent answer is that all older cybertruck owners who already opted for 6 months supercharging or the $700 credit up to the time this new voucher came around are left in the dust on this one. I declined the PowerShare survey and automatically got 6 months of supercharging that began April 4th without being offered a voucher I knew nothing about at the time.

I documented this whole thing with the Feedback Team over the phone. Support told me they need a surge of owners calling in to complain about this situation.

Interesting. I just had Tesla solar/powerwalls installed and the crew said my regular wall connector charger would be sufficient for the PowerShare capabilities in a future software update. Just need to know whether or not I’ll need to purchase the universal wall connector.

I received the email today about 5:30 pm pst. I took delivery on 04/30/2024. I already had powerwalls and everything I needed for PowerShare so no additional equipment was necessary.

Help me understand this as an AWD CT owner. I got the email and will have a $2,500 voucher to buy the PowerShare Gateway and Universal Wall Charger to be sent to my Tesla approved electrician. Will the $2,500 voucher cover the cost of the PowerShare Gateway and Universal Wall Charger? I'm looking at an obscene installation cost estimate from a Tesla approved electric company to install everything. I just noticed it does NOT include the cost of the Gateway and UWC because we got that "FREE". So, on top of the obscene installation cost, I would have to buy the PowerShare hardware from Tesla with the $2,500. I'm sure it is simple, but it seems a little complicated. I'm sure of one thing, we have no idea now how this works!

PowerShare HomeBackup and PowerShare Mobile Connector were supposed to be included with Foundation Series. So I assume the voucher is to buy them via the store instead of getting them via whatever other process they had.

I got my VIN last Thursday. My PowerShare gateway and charger were installed last weekend already. Still waiting to schedule delivery. Any chance I’ll get a voucher still? Here are pics for anyone interested in what it looks like.

I haven’t installed a charger yet so I’m wondering if I’ll be able to use the voucher to pay for wall unit and use the remaining funds towards install. My install is going to be expensive based on home layout.

The best deal would be to get 4 Wall Connectors and spend the remaining $250 on whatever strikes your fancy. Now that all N. American vehicles will be going with NACS charge ports, you can't have too many NACS Wall Connectors. EVs continue to become an increasingly larger percentage of all road vehicles.
