I regret nothing. I initially ordered AWD and regretted that in time to switch. I wanted most of the foundation perks so the early access penalty for Foundation was worth it.
I feel like with all the upcharges for wheels, interior, accessories, etc. with the non FS models, the FS deal keeps looking better and better.

I regret not getting the Beast instead of the AWD. But that’s it.
Curious about that. I also have a model 3 and often regret not getting performance. But I never feel that way about the CT. It has all the getup I want and more (it feels faster than my awd m3 awd w accel boost)… can’t imagine wanting to move that heavy thing any faster. Are there any other advantages to the beast besides absurd acceleration?

I’m about to place an order for a Cybertruck. I’ve owned two EVs and no ICEVs for a few years now, so I understand what EV ownership entails, including long trip travel.

The question is not about owning an EV. Rather it’s about owning the Cybertruck. Does anyone have any regrets and would rather he hadn’t bought it. If so, could you list your reasons.

Thank you.

No regrets after 6 months of ownership. I love the truck. The best vehicle I’ve ever owned.

For FS ordering the Beast also got you $4000 in install fees for Powershare. And, The rear locker system is Sw and automatic, so if you off-road a ton, not having to deal with mechanical lockers frequently is pretty nice. I know there is a hypothetical that the mechanical lockers are more effective, but IMO that only holds true if you are comparing vehicles with equivalent rear axle horsepower specs. Since the power on a single half shaft of the Beast is in the same ballpark as the the total power in the back of the Dual Motor, I suspect that the SW Lockers perform the same as the Mechanical Lockers.

Best vehicle ever. No regrets getting it. And no regrets paying the early adopter fee for FS option package. Enjoyed all the head turns and smiles!

This is one of the reasons I'm sticking with my Model Y for now. It's comfortable to sleep in for camping. It's great in any weather and I can stretch out in the back. Personally wouldn't want the Rivian or especially the Lucid but would like to see an SUV version of the Cybertruck.
I would love a Cybervan or CyberSUV too. This is one of the reason why I still travel in my 3 or X. On road trips, I like to lay on my back in the back while I charge up. I guess I could do that in the CT and not worry about looking silly as I lay in the vault.

Honestly, nope not a single regret after 6 months of driving it daily, pulling our camper, and doing random truck stuff. Best vehicle that I’ve ever owned.

If you’d like can use my referral code and save $1000. Use this link to make your order. https://ts.la/neil65767
Yeah, cleaning the inside of the windshield with short arms is a real pain, I hope the outgassing tapers off soon. ?

I have an appointment to have the windshield and camera cleaned in a few days. Mine is 4 months old so I'm hoping that it can be cleaned once and for all.

Well it is for the extra speed for sure. Also getting the 4K store credit at the time would have been nice. I am the type to get the best of the best so I don’t have buyer remorse. But I didn’t want to wait the extra 4-5 months to wait for the beast. In hindsight it would have been less time than they predicted.

On the bright side I saved 20k. Not complaining just would like to beat a Lamborghini if one ever pulled up to me. ?

No regrets about the truck itself but if you need PowerShare and have solar panels with powerwall 2 don’t hold your breath. I got the truck in March and never received the hardware or software. Tesla vehicle service referred me to the powerwall team and they referred me to Tesla vehicle service.

My only regret is the same one I have with every other large ticket vehicle purchase I make & that’s that I could have done a whole lot of other things beneficial to both my future and children’s future. But I’m always a cash buyer so the withdraw from my accounts is always one with thought vs impulse.

I have no regrets at all over the truck itself. I would buy it again, and I’m happy I ended up with Beast vs AWD when originally that was never even a thought.

VIN 345XX Cyberbeast - I got the wheel covers when I picked it up, got FSD a couple of weeks later, and I have an appt in December to install the light bar.

No regrets at all and I find myself volunteering to drive more than I would in previous vehicles. I do baby this a bit more than the Jeep, but I'm sure that will change in time.

What I do find funny is the online and sometimes in person hate I come across. People are just bitter these days, not only about CT, but lots of things... but I will say in person, a lot more happy/excited interactions than the bitter ones.

As long as my kid thinks I'm cool, and I think I'm cool, it's worth it. ?

What am I missing here…how are you getting the light bar installed already? My VIN is 205XX and still waiting ?

I picked up a FS Beast in July and had a lot of fit and finish issues. Still working through those with Service which has been a lot of time and annoyance but Service is addressing everything. Maybe I would have waited longer to work out some kinks and see if they improve things. But I’m guessing real improvements/updates might take more time.

Or maybe I would have waited until the price drops more. I’m the type that doesn’t like overpaying for things and especially depreciating assets like cars.

That said, it’s awesome to drive and I’d purchase the car again. Just an issue of whether I would have waited and there was really no rush on my end in retrospect but I turned off the sensible part of my brain back when I pulled the trigger….

You won’t regret buying the truck it’s just a matter of whether you want to wait longer or not…..my two cents.
