That actually seems like a deal compared to what I was just quoted from an installer today. My electrical panel is in my basement but it is right next to the garage. About 10 feet to where the charger would be mounted in the garage.my local Tesla designated installer quoted me $3000 for partial powershare...and $800 for just installing the charger. Feels a bit much
Well, the installation for the charger took maybe 10 min because previous home owner already had a Tesla Wall charger. Previous home owner took the charger but left the wiring and the extra breaker in panel box etc, so all installation had to do is connect the new charger. That actually seems like a deal compared to what I was just quoted from an installer today. My electrical panel is in my basement but it is right next to the garage. About 10 feet to where the charger would be mounted in the garage.
The outside service is also right next to the garage so again very short distance.
The installer is the only Tesla certified in Nebraska and I was quoted
The tech who gave me the quote said he has about 8 others to quote and recommended I get it scheduled sooner than later (might just be a sales tactic).
- $1140 for just the Wall connector EV charger install
- $4740 for the Gateway and EV charger install
I have an AWD order (no vin assigned yet) and am struggling to justify the $4740 for the Gateway and whole home... versus just going w/ the EV charger.
Anybody have any thoughts on if having this equipment helps much in home resale value ?
Glad to see they can do the partial install. Located In Central WA. Quotes around here for just getting the NEMA 1450 w/the 60A GFCI breaker wired have been around $750 by local electriciansmy local Tesla designated installer quoted me $3000 for partial powershare...and $800 for just installing the charger. Feels a bit much
I’m currently working on getting multiple quotes, the first that came through from the electrician that Tesla gave my contact information to came in at $5200, and that was installation right next to the circuit panel (no long cable runs).my local Tesla designated installer quoted me $3000 for partial powershare...and $800 for just installing the charger. Feels a bit much
would you mind sharing the company? I’m in Stanwood, WAWashington State
I don’t think I would install for any potential resale value. Hardware can become outdated and currently i believe the CT is the only vehicle that is compatible with a PowerShare.Anybody have any thoughts on if having this equipment helps much in home resale value ?
