It's true hot water makes the solvents work better! Especially great at removing oil-based stains.

Hot pressure washes are pretty common in engine cleans and some detailing processes.

But it also makes the etching from acid/bases act more aggressively. So you have to know what's on the truck before doing so. Using say, hot water when your truck is covered with alkali dust will make the patina growth more aggressive. So when I come back from the playa in Nevada, I never use hot water until after I've blown out the dust and done my best to neutralize it.

Remember there are hard and soft non-stainless parts that exist for other technical performance reasons (like wheel hubs and the safety capsule around the windshields) which might receive over spray and drizzle from your washing efforts.

barkeepers is too strong imo. Use citrisurf, let it sit for 3 mins, then loosen the dirt with a blue non scratch pad, then pour hot water to wash off the residue. People use a glass cleaner but hot water is the absolute best to neutralize the citric acid cleaner.

then dry with a microfibre towel. Iron decon your entire truck at least after winter when it’s absorbed salt and moisture where the patina happens much faster. After you do this process, your truck wiill be brand new.
