Both Cantrails on my 2024 AWD CT were recently replaced as part of last year’s recall, however, the passenger side Cantrail came off in the middle of my 6000 mile road trip. I was forced to use tie wraps to secure it down until I can take it to a service center once I’m back home. I noticed that the bolt at the very front was missing, so I suggest that everyone check their Cantrails to see if theirs might be loose.

I still have not had mine replaced and I've been debating if I even should. They seem very solid and always have. I have a very early truck (VIN sub 1000) and was part of the first batch before they changed adhesives. I still have about a year and a half of warranty so maybe I'll revisit this later.

I'm in the same boat. But I guess they're fine until they're not.

FYI recalls aren't tied to warranty period, they can be done forever.

Thanks for that clarification. Then I guess I won't worry about it till I have too!

it seems if you live in a warm area the glue seems to hold fine

Looks like the bolt is still there. Is there another one that's missing?

Bolt looks attached. The nut, not so much.

The nut somehow unscrewed itself from the bolt which is right up front. This is why it sadly peeled up from the front.

Correct. I originally stated it was the bolt, but it’s the nut for sure. The fact that it came off at all (especially since the recall/replacement) is so concerning that i just wanted to make everyone aware of this and to check the security of their cantrail attachment points.

I had mine replaced and the new one they put on broke in 2 days. The bolt back there is pretty thin and flimsy. For mine, the whole bolt sheared off the cantrail and they had to replace it again.

Trying to make sure I know what to look for. I had the replacement done awhile ago.
