Now, you've got me concerned about which version I'll be getting. When I scheduled it, I didn't notice any part numbers but I suppose I'll get that when they finish reviewing the service request. I have about a month do obsess over it.

Just know that the rest of us very much appreciate you guys testing this out for us before Tesla offers it in the shop someday 🤣

I had mine installed last week. I also had them investigate vault leak. A tire rotation was done at same time.

I originally had the light bar scheduled for April, but had to cancel due to work constraints. I heard nothing about a redesign except here on this forum. Mine's glued, but I haven't got around to doing the connector hook up yet.

They added a slat and worked on added foam or weatherstripping where vault/cabin meet. Don't know if it worked because hasn't rained yet.

Well let me put the redesign rumor to rest. We talked to Wes at X Takeover about the light bar specifically and he said that there is NOT a new design that it was simply a change and education in the install process to make sure it is done correctly. If a lightbar has already been installed correctly there is no need to get it replaced, there is no new design. This is directly from Wes last Saturday. He had said that shipments would resume shortly now that the new procedure was in place. While he didn't outright say it, I have a feeling they may have sent a bunch of people to training on how to do this correctly as obviously some service centers got it right while others did not.

Thank you. That helps a lot. Now those of us that just got the invite can proceed without worrying about if we should wait. Appreciate you posting this!
I have only had my truck for 3 months or so now as I bought the foundation beast used. The 3 month wait has been crazy. I just want the lightbar. I don’t know how you guys have made it a full year or more.

Thank you TeslaKen for the latest from bringing up this question to engineering last Saturday on this confusion regarding why there was a hold on new lightbar installs. It does seem strange to me that Tesla would not have better communication with all of the service center managers on this. It seems sometimes that we know more about what is going on than they do. Maybe the whole story will eventually make sense. The "new procedure" story has been out there for quite sometime before engineering asked for this recent pause in installs. Maybe it was just a problem at particular service centers. I will let you know anything new I hear regarding my lightbar install delay when the smoke totally clears down to the service center level.

Did You happen to ask Wes about the underbody armor? It was supposedly hitting the shop this month and here we are, last day of July.

I did not ask about the under body armor but I believe there was a truck with it that Tesla had on site although I didn't inspect it. If I can get a q&a set up with Wes I will.

I got my FS Beast last August and I've managed to wait this long because, frankly, uncovered lightbars are illegal in Maryland. So... Anyway, I'm on hold right now because they are "waiting on parts".
I added Cant rail recall to my service ticket so I don't know if it's the rails or light that is causing this delay. Either way, when I scheduled, the app said it would be 24 days to get an appointment so no harm, no foul.

Took my Cyberbeast in today for service. They finally got the new lightbars in.

They are still glueing them to the windshield but they've redesigned the lightbar itself so it matches the curvature of the windshield. They also have some kind of weight to hold down the bar for a signifcant amount of time during the curing process. Hoping for the best!

Not sure what to tell you. The service guy said it’s been physically redesigned.

Can you post picture of yours please? I got mine done a while back right after the updated process and they did use the new process to put mine on. Its been rock solid and ive driven 200KPH+ for long stretches to test it.
