So everyday here in Hawaii my truck gets extremely hot inside and the cabin overheat protection is not kicking on automatically. It is set to on and is supposed to turn on at 100F. However, if I toggle it to off and then back to on, the overheat protection will start up. Has anyone else had this problem?

COP is not intended to keep the interior to a set temperature indefinitely, but to limit the max temp between daily trips so that the cabin can be made habitable again quickly. The feature is only active for a number of hours after your last trip (I think it's 12 hours?).

Ah gotcha that makes sense. Because when I toggle it around noon or so it’ll maintain below 100 the rest of the day. Normally this is never an issue for me but I’ve been laid up recovering from surgery and my truck has just been baking every day. Thanks for clearing that up

@CyberGus was spot on, though I’m 99% sure it’s 24 hours before it turns off. But like you said, toggle it off and back on and you’re good for another 24 hours. Good luck with the recovery! Try to get behind the squircle and give FSD some miles when you’re up to it. We won’t get unsupervised until we all pitch in. Seems like we’re not getting the help of many new owners lately.
