Wow, not a single pothole or cloud or vapor trail. no advertisements or smog. Everyone is driving the same speed too so no traffic or road rage. And there is aCT so this must be a utopia.

That is that Manhattan bridge, which makes the skyscraper One Manhattan Square.
So the cars approximate location, if real is on FDR drive at about 275 South street.

I think it is real, but since it's the original no mirror truck probably old.
If it is fake I applaud the compositors skills.

Also potato.
what about the tailgate paint spilling over license plate?
Pretty potato-y.

The compression algorithms don't like hard edges and tend to smear stuff together into averages that fit the jpegging.

As the owner of an Insta360, I'm pretty accustomed to mashed potato encoding when I want to read things like license plates.

Me: obnoxious string of grade school insults

Crissa: Yes, but I came here for an argument!!

Me: OH! Oh! I'm sorry! This is abuse!

Crissa: Oh! Oh I see!

Me: Aha! No, you want room 12A, next door.

This is an old video, I'm pretty sure I've seen it years ago, it's from when the CT was on display in NY. There's also footage of it driving on the Brooklyn bridge which is close by.

So I know potato camera is known slang for crappy camera. But Did @Crissa just coin the phrase "mashed potato encoding"?

EIther way I love it.

Google hadn't seemed to have heard of it yet. All I got was:
