With supply and demand push pricing I predict the resale value of early Cybertrucks is going to be off the charts. I think more than a few early reservations were made by speculators who plan to profit by flipping their trucks immediately after taking delivery. I think that we will see $50k Dual Motor Cybertrucks listed for $70-$80k on eBay Motors.

I think that's a real possibility.

Sandy Munro has worked on FSD type projects for the military & also planes.
I suspect he knows a lot about where the technology is and who has best chance of success.

Trust me when I say standard Autopilot is all you really need. IMHO there is really no need to spend $10k on FSD. AP is a joy to use on the freeway and it removes virtually all of the stress from driving. We are thoroughly enjoying standard AP on our Model Y.

New owners are going to love it in their new Cybertruck’s. Fly into Austin, TX to pick up your factory fresh Cybertruck and use AP to navigate you home safely and stress free. The NAV system will automatically guide you to the next Supercharger.

I'd love to go back to the factory to pick mine up when it's available. And I have friends who've volunteered to take the trip with me... I do wonder whether I should keep it though, or sell it when I take delivery. I've heard from several people who would buy it from me.

At least it shows that some of the new people are going back into the archives instead of just starting a new thread to rehash the exact same topic again.

I go back and forth. Reviving old threads can be a bit jarring but it does allow us to keep some of the conversational context in place. Starting a new thread on the topic is OK but since we really don't have any applicable new official information, a new thread would just devolve into the same conversation as before. I'm thinking now that new threads on existing topics should be reserved for when we have the official production specs, get to see the back seat, figure out how many chickens to bring to verify the measurements, etc. Then there will be actual real information to talk about. Till then, we might as well just sift the old stuff and pile on with all the existing uninformed comments.

back on topic, I am curious about the initial open market prices. $70K-$80K R1Ts were going for $140K-$150K while they were hot. There are more reservations for CT so I would not be surprised if it goes higher than that.
