Maybe now that they’re a smaller diameter air can get behind them and create some lift? Especially if not fully seated.

I'm confused. Are those the original covers? They don't look like the ones I got with the AS Core wheels/AS tires. When I picked up, the CTs brimg delivered with AT tires didn't have covers. And I thought the originals were recalled. Can you please clarify?

Honestly I don’t even miss these, particularly since I installed my own hub/lug covers. I would like the improved aero for long trips, tho.
I want them for their efficiency. I want it more than for a day, though. If they fly off, what is Tesla going to do about this?

Sigh... I wasn't sure I even wanted them. Now I'm sure I don't. Ha ha.

I'm annoyed that I paid for them but don't have them. Generally I really like to stock wheels with a small center cap. I wouldn't mind a purely areo plate or frisbee wheel cover for long trips though.

Does anyone else have this problem? I just picked up my truck two days ago and drove on a very smooth asphalt road. When I hit a very small bump, I saw both of the wheel covers on the passenger side fly off and roll into a ditch. Now I'm thinking I can't leave these on because there are a ton of potholes even on the highway. How much of an issue is this? I can see that they should probably only be on the wheels on the highway apparently?
Tesla told me just a couple weeks ago when I picked up my Beast that they recalled them and stopped deliveries with them for this very reason; they were popping off very easily while driving. They said they’ll provide them once ready. Surprised you got them.

I got a response back saying to bring it in and ask for someone specifically (I suppose it's so I don't have to wait until October when the next official service appointments are available). He said they want to look at them and "we can order new ones if needed." I'll update when I have an update.

It's the all-terrain tires. From reading other posts and from recollection, the cover for the all-season tires is different.

Core/all seasons is not the same as Cyber wheel covers w/ all terrains. Original cyber wheel covers stopped getting included w/ deliveries in Feb/March of this year. The redesign started to go out with new deliveries in the past few weeks but looks like this is ALSO getting recalled/re-designed from the hearsay in this thread.

Yes, thanks, I am aware of all that. My question was what wheel cover had the problem that's being shown.

I picked up the truck August 23rd, so presumably the new ones but I don't know for sure.

Honestly, now I have no idea. Has anyone seen the new cyber wheel covers or are the only ones that have been shipping/delivering recently the core wheel covers? Looking at the renderings from the order page is confusing, and OP’s looks like a hybrid of the two.
