I’m sure I’m far from the only person reading this still waiting. Anyone receive their covers yet that has already taken delivery?
Still waiting on mine.

Congrats!

It's pretty shameful someone could be so unobservant as to install them like that. Good help is hard to find these days. Looks beautiful though, all except for the out of alignment wheel covers!
Delivery centers are a “needs improvement” area for Tesla and has been for a long time.

Absolutely thrilled to have my delivery today after a false delivery date set one week ago. Spent most of the week shopping winter tires and second set of wheels since Goodyears are MUD & SAND. Delivery was totally anti climactic. I drove off to a neaby shady parking lot and rotated the wheel covers because if you don’t align the wheel covers with the tire properly, the same damage to the sidewall will occur. Once aligned with the debossed notches in the tire sidewall, the new covers ride clear of any contact with the sidewall.

Do you think the AT tires will perform poorly in the snow?

I remember when Tesla staff were as knowledgeable and as passionate as the owners were. Those days are long gone.

We already know the OEM AT tires perform poorly in the snow, like many AT tires that don't brag about winter performance. AT tires are not automatically good in the snow, even many with aggressive-looking and deep tread patterns fail to perform well when it gets cold and icy.

Like any auto business, it depends upon the individual employees at a given location. My local Service Center has been consistently pretty good but they are still just humans and can make mistakes or have a misunderstanding. It's world's better than ANY dealership I've experienced and I'm thankful for that!

I especially like that they never try to to get into my wallet; so many dealerships are based on extracting as much money from you as possible, all while smiling and pretending like they are your friend.

Looks like you've got some snow experience with the tires. How would you rate/review them? I'll be primarily driving on roads in the snow, nothing too aggressive.

Well, a good driver can get around in most scenarios on almost anything. I've only driven on one kind of snow condition, old snowpack, and have seen videos of them being used in fresh, wet snow, and the results were not impressive in either case.

I'm not going to give them a specific rating with such limited experience except to say that I demand better, much better, in winter conditions. I'm someone who normally runs dedicated winter tires for mountain mobility, my needs are greater than many, but, knowing what I know, I would do this anywhere where ice forms on the roads, no matter how flat and straight the roads were, just to minimize the chances of injury, property damage and inconvenience.

Plus, I enjoy winter driving and the enjoyment is greater when you have more to work with.

I agree. As bad as they are, I still rather deal with poor Tesla customer service than slimy dealership sales people.

Apparently, the tires are not lasting enough so any damage done by the wheel covers should be negligible. True or not?
If you launch everywhere you go, everyday, yes. If you are not a nut job, it’s total BS - you should see 30K miles out of these, minimum

Got mine 2 weeks ago with covers misaligned. Delivery rep said they had to re-mount the tires. 5 ft 1" of eye candy that knew nothing about the truck past basic adjustments. Truck had no real flaws so I accepted it.

Took me under 15 mins to align hubcaps at home, probably less time than if I had them do it.
