It's worse for me, my 91-year-old mother-in-law forgets how to get out and pulls the switches up every time, pulling the manual latch....gotta love it.
Put her in the back - no manual latch there! Just a window button.

Yeah, that's Florida for you (or any gulf state) I've heard the time to get something dry to keep it from growing stuff is super-short. My temperate rain forest upbringing meant it was hard to dry, but at least funk grows slow.

After sopping out the water, I'm using a ceramic heat bulb in a brooder lamp:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09CPC78F2
https://www.amazon.com/Woods-Clamp-Lamp-Reflector-Guard/dp/B003XV8QOU/

Throw in a blower to get the air to the underside of the seats and poof! Dry space.

Keeping the inside just slightly warmer than the outside will give you a delta to evaporate the rest... even while it's humid outside. But your time to deal with microscopic growth in a place like Florida is limited

so far, so good. it was mostly in the plastic door, and maybe the vinvyl absorbed some. but it didn't stink today

You’re taking the realization of an inch of water in your CT and it smelling like a pond a lot better than I would. Props to you, brother.

Got into my truck with a door and seat full of water after it rained all night. Went back and checked and the window never closed after I got out last night. Now the truck smells like a pond. Haven't noticed this happening before. At least everything still works so far. Before I got out and after I got out pictures below.
Why can't Tesla close windows in the rain? Why no app notification that it failed to close the window??

My, rear windows does this sometimes. Must be a software bug.

Where are your windows set to close upon lock? My windows closed automatically as soon as doors lock when I walk away. I only turn that off if I have my dog in the car with the windows open because I'm afraid it could close on his neck.

I had so many front seat passengers who routinely pulled up the manual exit switch (in spite of my admonishments )which Tesla said might potentially damage the window. At a friend‘s suggestion I I took a piece of almost indistinguishable black tape and covered the manual release. So far no one has pulled it again. It is easy to make the mistake when they were not familiar with the exiting procedure. I could see where the two switches might have been better placed juxaposed.

There's a whole thread of covers, stickers, and suggestions on how to deal with this: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...ency-door-open-how-to-avoid.19235/post-348097

Always want it to still be emergency-like, but style is also a consideration, I guess ^-^

I thought the app already did that. Perhaps it is the Tessie app as it warns you that precipitation is coming and you have a trunk or bed cover open...thought it worked for windows.
Yup, it's Tessie I've gotten those warnings and have had a similar situation where the window did not close all the way for some odd reason. Worth the yearly fee.
