Since they like the more difficult, I'm surprised Americans prefer the decimal counting method instead of Octal.

:sneaky:
Don't even start on why we are not into metric with the rest of the world.

The only reason base 10 is remotely easier or better is when your math skills are so bad you have to count fingers. Even then you can count the palm of your hand as a digit.
I often wonder if humans would be further ahead in technology (actually not "if" but "how much") if we'd evolved with 8 fingers instead of 10.

It would certainly be a lot easier to teach beginning comp sci students.

So will the TeslaBot have only four fingers on each hand so the general AI in the bot can learn faster than humans?
LOL.

The one thing which you will never have to teach an AI is any kind of fundamental math. The higher order math is another story, but AI has been making breakthroughs there too.

Had a few minutes waiting for a meeting to start and let my mind wander. This is where it went:

If we evolved with eight fingers instead of ten, we'd still have 10 fingers.

I was going to point out we have 8 fingers… and 2 thumbs myself.

You should only be able to subtract with your thumbs though because they are opposable.

The front does seem a bit shorter.

One thing which I noticed putting up that CAD drawing earlier which a lot of people seem to overlook is the tailgate used to slant rearwards and now it’s vertical.

This was mentioned right as the newer betas started being shown. It makes sense for safety... but yeah it definitely diminishes the style of the profile.

You can't use a factory the workers don't want to go to. And engineers can jump to other employers. So they dictate the jobs remain in the Bay Area.

You won't find many of my spouse's coworkers willing to move to Nevada, let alone Texas. Or a worse red state.

That's why I just fly in and out of Austin for business trips. :p

But I once crossed the city limits and got a traffic ticket just because my rental has a NY license plate. I thanked my lucky star that it's not California or it would have been shoot-to-kill encounter.

Noticed when I got home with all the mis-spellings that Texas has an overheating jobs market. They can't even get someone with elementary education to work as a policeman.;);)
