I used to get water in my bed.
Then I tried something... right before opening the tonneau I threw a towel over the tonneau to wipe up the surface water.
Last week our cybertruck was outside for 6 inches of rain in Eastern TN. The road out was blocked by floodwaters. No water in the bed.

Now I believe that some others do have genuine leaks, but we don't (even though we suspected we did)

I’ve had just a tiny bit of water once, where the tonneau cover seal meets the tailgate. When o washed it last week, there was zero water and I was surprised. Maybe the seal has molded itself?

The best way to see if and where the leak is ocurring:

1) get a brighf flashlight
2) open tailgate
3) have another person put water hose and pour water on sunroof glass while you shine flashlight into bed and watch if/where water comes in.

I believe all water leaks occur between the border of sunroof glass where it meets connecting top rail, and none of the leaks have anything to do with the tonneau.

My fix cost $6 (see earlier post) and took 10 minutes to run a black silicone caulk bead in the border, and my prior leak was a steady stream tha was 100% fixed.

Hope this helps. I completely removed the top rail to inspect before applying this fix, my truck has the rubber seal, but leaked in two places where the metal rim (that meets the rubber seal) is irregular. You won't need to remove the rail, just run the caulk bead, wait 24 hour to cure.

I followed all the suggestions adding both caulk and a weather strip to seal the glass portion, but water is still coming in from another area. Also, it should be noted, I didn't have any foam attached to the glass to remove (I followed this: ).

Here what I see when looking upwards:

During appointment I was told it is not normal and the tonneau cover is not design to be watertight :-(

My tonneau didn't leak at all for months, but now it does because the cover somehow became misaligned leaving a gap at the top on the driver's side for water to get in. Calibrating the tonneau cover (Service menu) doesn't correct the misalignment. I'll have to take it into my SC one of these days.

I had a similar skew and it took them a bit to sort it out but its all nice and parallel now.

Do you know what your SC did for the tonneau fix? My tonneau is shifted 10mm

Verified concern, at start of service found tonneau cover performing as described.
Inspected and found the tonneau rail width out of spec, and the motors twisting on their housings.
Adjusted the rails and replaced both motors. Further found consistent binding in the right rail when
approaching 100% closed. Replaced the right tonneau rail and verified healthy tonneau
calibration. Cycled tonneau over multiple sleep and wake cycles and verified behavior is consistent
and no further issues are present.

Do you mind sharing what Tesla service center performed your maintenance, what state, city? I’m going to pass along your service note in chat while my truck is in service and want to reference your service center used. Thanks!
