Doing some back of the napkin math for what I am seeing it is something like 15,000 for me. I have just under 5,000 miles with a depth of 9/32 :/
Hmm.. is that normal for Cybertruck/Tesla/EVs? I don’t own one yet. I was hoping to at least get 20,000 miles. I’m super excited to save money on brake pads. I hate replacing them frequently on ICE vehicles, but it looks like the same money is now spent on changing tires! 🤦‍♂️

I received my AWD CT March 4th, it has 6772 miles on it. I'm a 5o+ old driver who drives normal on crappy so cal roads. I went into discount tire today to get them rotated. As you can see in the pic the rear tires have more wear. I asked about availability if one was damaged. All of Discount tires vendors are out of stock and one vendor told him they would possibly have more by July 17th not certain. I'm thinking of just ordering one to have in case I damage one. I don't want to have to wait who knows how long. To replace. The quote for all 4 of the same Wrangler tires with certificate would be about $2200. One tire alone without rim or mounting or cert is $409. I can't believe my rear tires are already at 7.
Has anyone tried out the Michelin Defender LTX Platinums on the Cybertruck? The way I'm racking up the miles, I feel like I'd better make a plan for my next set of tires. ROFL My wife and I, and our two dogs have covered about half of the Lower 48 already, and we're determined to cover the other half by year's end.

ADDENDUM: I've put different variants of Defenders on my Ford Escape and my old Ram 1500, and in both cases, the treadlife was FANTASTIC, and I was VERY pleased with the driving dynamics. In the case of the Escape, the Defenders replaced GoodYear something-or-others, which had mediocre treadlife and slightly inferior driving dynamics. My Cybertruck tires have been very well-behaved, but I don't know how much that owes to the truck and how much is the tires.

My Tesla tire experience is way better than discussed above. And when a red light changes to green, 90% chance I POOF! I don't baby my tires but my CT is my 5th Tesla and only my 2015 S is no longer with us so I have plenty of Tesla driven miles (well, technically AutoPilot driven). I got 42,700 miles off the original S tires. Next set from Tesla (same Michelin GreenX Primacy mxm4) lasted 44,900. Then got Goodyear Eagle Touring which lasted 44,400. The next set lasted only 38,000 because I was heading out cross country in winter. I do a lot of highway miles.

The Model 3 tires only made it about 30k.

Yes Discount Tires wants to sell you new tires even if you have a new truck.

I had a sidewall puncture nail, took the truck to Tesla, had it back in an hour with a new tire. Price was competitive, don't recall exactly maybe $550 plus tax.

Goodyear tires notoriously suck. We used to get discounts on them on our fire dept and you were lucky to get 12k miles out of them.

You have time… keep an eye on Discount Tire deals and IMHO keep and eye out for BFG KO2s. Those would be a great replacement for your tires. That will be my choice when the time comes.
The real question with the KO2’s is white letters out or in.

A bit off topic
Hoping somebody might be able to help me find what I’m looking for or me what keywords I should use to search for it.
I’m looking to find a tire tote, case or cover… to fit the OEM all-terrain tire.
I’ve searched on eBay and Amazon and don’t seem to be able to find anything big enough to hold it.
It’s around 35 inches in diameter and a 13 inches wide.
After seeing this thread, I thought it might be a good idea to pick up a spare on eBay
I picked up an OEM All terrain wheel/tire set on eBay for $550 + $50 shipping as a backup…
(TPMS not included) Will actually be about $695 with a $95 TPMS
Seller claims that the rim is in perfect shape with no scratches…
Arriving Monday

I have LTX Platinums with about 5,000 mostly highway miles on them. Although no appreciable range difference they seem smoother and quieter than the OEM Goodyears. I'll get tread depths shortly and report back. The 70k spec probably won't be met but I'm figuring the should do pretty well.

I came to this thread because I'm ready to sell my Goodyears and was hoping for some info regarding the best way to go about selling them and pricing. Thinking more likely to sell one at a time for folks who want a spare or had a blowout. Less than 2,000 miles. Thoughts?

My local discount tire in South Carolina ordered one for me and it was delivered 2 days later but it was the wrong tire. They then tried to overnight it to save me more wait time but it still took 2 more days. Luckily it was a nail and it was holding some air.

Exactly this. BFG is a great replacement. I might try the new ko3s when it's time to swap
I don't off-road at all so when my AT tires wear out I'll use the pirelli all season tires to compare wear time and range. I'll be back to report in 1 year.

What size? How did it impact your range?
