So, I’ve been reading about the PCS failures all over X recently. Got home this morning, plugged in the truck to top off from 60% to 80%…at 76% I got a notification on my phone that charging had stopped. Went to the driveway, unplugged and replugged….still no charging. Got in the truck and did a soft reboot…still wouldn’t charge. Then I noticed the errors.
Scheduled an appointment and got a message from the service center stating the parts aren’t available immediately and I would be contacted when I can schedule a repair appointment. I asked how I would charge the truck while waiting and have not heard back yet. This is wildly inconvenient in a litany of prior inconveniences.
Why do I love this truck so much when it just keeps kicking me in the balls?

Wonder if that means ALL or just the ones with the issue..
I do NOT have free supercharging available as far as I can tell, im 46.3k VIN and no PCS issues yet.

Pretty sure it would display under Specs & Warranty > Specs in the App?

My Cybertruck has been with Tesla for about 10 days now. I miss it, but thank God I was able to get a loaner. Hopefully they get these parts flying off the assembly line soon.

Well at least you’re lucky to have that specific error code, “AC charging unavailable “ cause it does get free supercharging. My error code for the same issue doesn’t seem to get that benefit at least for now. “External charging equipment not providing power” says my app. Cyber logo is green for about 2 seconds and flips to red. Message on screen, unable to charge, disconnect and retry. In service mode 2 active alerts, HVBATT_a174_chargeFailure and PCS2_a062_acVoltageNotPresent. I get the same errors with any L2 wall charger or mobile charger. Nearest supercharge is 35 mins away even using that is a giant inconvenience with the vampire drain. Every few days gotta make the trip so it doesn’t brick.
Truck has been pretty good to me, read all the issues people’s was having and thought maybe I just drew the lucky straw. 71k miles later and here come the reality ball kick.

Took it to service to get the lightbar installed, and they got me an appointment for June 10. Asked about the free supercharging and they knew nothing about it.

Beware, in my case I was unable to supercharge after receiving this error. The car seemed locked into the idea that it was trying to AC charge.

It must be a typo as that doesn’t make sense. It does make sense to give it to CTs awaiting service appointments for the PCS replacement. Either way, it sounds like they need a software fix to allow DC fast charging once the PCS error occurs.

It's possible they don't have a way in their database to cull out only the affected trucks so they MIGHT just include all. Just looking for confirmation from someone who has tried to supercharge today.

"try to DC fast charge" is a completely new message. Free supercharging is very likely tied to only the trucks with that specific message.

Have you been quoted a repair price?

Not yet I just says request in review. Services indicate computer replacement (IMU noise) and my PCS issue. Not sure what that is about, I’ll ask next week when I go in for the critical tailgate actuator.
