Evolution, my friend. EVOLUTION.
The CT that finally comes to Australia will have subtle but impressive changes and improvements over today's eggs_ample!
Frying to crack a yoke!
sorry mate.. I think your outlook is pretty hopeless.. I dont think Tesla will export anything from US. so that means tesla will have to build GIGA for CT somewhere in APAC .. that gonna take a while .. (I guess tesla imports S3XY from China right now?)

I think you like making up stuff to get a response. We used to get Model S and X to Australia from Fremont in the USA, or has cali seceded since I was there last week? ?

Now the only items you can order on the Aussie Tesla site is M3, MY, Cybertruck and Powerwall.

Can't remember the detail, but something like 3000 to 5000 of each of S and X, in total over the years exported to Australia.

CT will be 20,000 per year in Aust. (and probably more), they will ship, and ship after the first 500,000 imo.

I post Cybertruck stuff on the Internet and people like it.

and now you should ask: what could he be visiting for?

Ya should be curious. He’s spent a lot of time in Texas according to his jet thing. He left in Cybertruck, didn’t arrive in it(I had that wrong). He went to Brownsville.

I’d imagine he’s dropping hammer on Cybertruck line getting actually online. Wonder if the franz / Elon truck is the last “hand built” non automated truck there will be. Here’s hoping there is some official guidance next week. ?

I predict you will most certainly not be in the minority. You may be in the minority on the forums, but not in the world. You can see on the 3, for example, that the overwhelming majority of people keep the aeros on, but when the vehicle first came out the forums were filled with Aero haters and the center caps were massively backlogged on the Tesla shop.

The aeros serve an important and useful function of boosting range ~10 miles in addition to reducing the risk of dirt and debris in the wheels and brakes. And I am with you that they help to pull off the blade-runner / mad max vibe that is the CT signature look.
I like the hubcaps and will be keeping them on as well. I actually didn't realize people didn't like them.

So you know that this truck was still hand built? What happened to that prediction that the line would be operational early in July? Perhaps Elon was excited to drive the Cybertruck because it was actually driving well enough to drive around normally and not just as a publicity stunt…

this wouldn’t be that.

this would be more like the opening bell blessing of the RC pilot line

which Musk may or may not next week speak of as “beginning/begun building in TX” which being able to reference next week would be part of why you make this visit now, and moreso why the timing of starting the TX pilot line would be goal-set for before that call.

but that sense of “production in TX” is not what your black-then-white mental model appears to think of it. Your seemingly over-simplified mental model of “hand built in Fremont” vs “automated line in TX” seems part of the ongoing confusion

if there was a pilot line team in Fremont who knew how to build betas, eg with some production tooling and beta parts. you’d use that ~same team moved to TX on the next evolutionary step of that pilot line, now relocated to TX, to next attempt to build RCs using instead almost entirely production tooling and production intended parts.

Elon’s just not as excited about the CyberTruck as he is about the Model 3, so he just failed to mention he was driving a RC around Austin /s

That, or what the sum of all the posts in this thread makes clear

They are patented and I wonder if they have to do with the amphibious mode?

Over three hundred. Lots have been shipped around the world already, including to a high-paying Saudi Prince. I usually don't drive Cybertruck around Austin, because I don't want the scrutiny. I am not Elon.
You have access to drive the Cybertruck on public roads?
