PETG is what I've been doing and even in below freezing they look to be good. PLA version was bendy in warmer weather, not sure what it does in cold. I've been meaning to try PC, but need to vent my basement for printing in that.

yes I’m not touching ABS or ASA until I have a solid exhaust system
If I had a multicolor printer I could do colors like you and what is design has. I just started adding little plates with multicolor that glue on.

Ender 3 V3 plus.

I have done ABS, but it was in the summer and put the printer in my shed. It works, but really need an enclosed printer to keep the temperature constant.

They were probably PLA is my guess
No, I printed them in Petg, it is a design flaw where the layers on the release handle are perpendicular to the force you apply. It is very fragile in that area - not to breaking but layer separation where it falls apart. Under an emergency situation, last thing you need is the lever snapping off. I'm at work now, but I'll take a pic when im home to illustrate what I'm talking about.

If you want to and if you can, send a pic of the actual pull handle from the side, I can show you where it

So the flaw is at this layer where it meets the handle - I took the pic off your site just to illustrate it for you, I'm in no way implying yours have the same flaw. However, I suspect the original designer knew it was a weak point as they put a hole for an M3 screw, but even with that, it would need some form of internal nut in the main body of the handle to not come apart.

Could it be due to layer height and infill? I'm printing at .20 and 15% infill and it is very strong.

As a complete 3d printing rookie, this is a hell of a fun thread to watch. Got my popcorn out.
