I posted this in another thread as well…

I actually just decided to bite the bullet and install the S92 because I had it and I desperately wanted a rearview mirror. It took long than I expected and I ended up breaking the trim piece that is directly behind the rear passenger window because the connector got stuck behind there so I tried to take it off and ended up breaking it. All that said, (knock on wood) I have no errors, no cutting out (haven’t really had it sitting in the sun yet), and the quality is great. I just got mine recently which seems to be about a month after the Audio Error popped up so perhaps I got a new harness. ??‍♂ But so far so good. This really should have been standard but it’s a game changer.

Glad to hear it. I’m waiting on a replacement harness. Love the mirror otherwise

I spoke too soon. I went out to my truck this morning to drive to work and had the error.

Ugh. I love the camera but want everything to work without errors. We’ll see where this goes.

I have talked to Gloria, but have not seen or heard about a new harness.

Can anyone that has the new harness post what it looks like?

They got back to me yesterday, said there's a new batch being shipped soon.

Has anyone else get a communication for the new wire harness?
Nope. I’ve been ghosted by them. Is there a place on here where we can review Vendors because between Tesstudio and EVBase I’ve recieved a bunch of crap and very little/no support

This was their response from my inquiry on 4/28:

Thank you for following up.

Our team has developed the new power cable required to address the error message issue. However, we are currently in the process of testing the harness to ensure its stability and reliability before shipment.

Once the testing is successfully completed, we will arrange to send you the correct harness promptly. We truly appreciate your continued patience and understanding during this process.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions in the meantime.

Best regards,
Cherry

Kind of off topic, but I went through a pain of a repair for my rear camera module this past weekend and am leaving this here for others who run into this. My 3D printed wire bracket came loose and got snagged by the tonneau cover, and ripped the connector clean off the camera. I was able to splice the wire back together, saving me from buying another replacement camera module. The connectors are called Fakra connectors. They are very difficult to put on bare wire, far worse than ethernet wiring. I had a spare camera module with a cracked lens, so I cut off the connector with about 5 inches of wire, exposed the metal insulator braiding (pulled it back and twisted it), exposed the core wire, did the same for the broken wire, and twisted the cores together, and then twisted the insulator braidings together. Everything is held together with electrical tape and some 6 AWG wire as a brace. Since it's a digital signal, there is no quality issues. The key is that the insulator mesh is part of the circuit, and must have a solid connection.
